If they had a decent amount why did the C4 online feed not pay off then?

Yes, cause this is how a profit making enterprise works. :joker:

It's not like they've made an effort to promote LF. There's no point wasting money on airing LF when you're not willing to even support it. A profit making enterprise doesn't work based on pure luck and word-of-mouth (even if that may play a huge part. There evidence is all there to suggest Channel 5 didn't even warm to the idea of having Live Feed. Of course, the ratings are going to fail if people don't even know when it airs or even the actual existence of LF.

Should keep it for the fans, nowt else people bother watching on it.

Simple fact of the matter is that the interest for a frequent live feed is simply...not...there. For those who are saying that the lousy time slot (which is was, that can't be denied) was deliberate on the part of the producers to prove to the loud fans that live feed was unneeded is a bit silly. Do you really think that a channel that doesn't really perform that well in the long run anyway can afford to waste money on something like this are just trying to make excuses. I'm disappointed, but there's nothing that can be done. People need to realise that there isn't anything sinister behind these events. Even ratings below a million that the after eviction feed gets isn't great. Only the hardcore care about it anymore.

Ben Frow was told earlier even if the feed got 50,000 viewers that's 50,000 more people talk about the show than since its been on C5, Also told the impact its had on forums around the internet and how poor the C5 website.Twitter and FB is its no match on fans doing LUT's.

The feed is nothing like anything that remains on UK TV and that's why it needs to go online running alongside the show keeping the show going throwing it in that timeslot wasn't fair but its all C5 were willing to offer. On the talk of cost it didn't help matters they had to pay off Brian 100,000. As said before Cost Is relative C5 weren't really pissing people off this series and most accepted it was better having 2hrs than nothing even that's been blown back.

C5 were coming under increasing pressure from hardcore BB fans and strong campaigns to air Live Feed. They deliberately put it in a competitive tricky time slot so that it would flop and so that they can say 'we gave live feed a chance, no one watched, no body wants it and it has failed. We were right, there's no demand for it. Let's all move on and forget it.'

Im hoping they make some sort of compromise and stream it for 2 hours on their website.

How is that not possible?

I thought so too, but the thing about 5* is that it does a lot of repetition so a low rated show can get into the 1.5m mark in a month.

However, LF is a one-off deal so if no one watches the first time it's not as if it can be shown again. Plus 5* makes a lot of dosh from info-mercials (it makes loads of dosh from an annoying info-mercial for Insanity fitness with Shaun-T - don't ask)
