View Full Version : Is being/feeling fat relative?
RE: Last night's episode and Wolfy moaning about Charlie saying she feels fat.
What do you think?
I feel fat sometimes and I feel I've put on weight but I'm definitely not like Wolfy size.. but I feel fat and I don't like it because I believe it IS relative to everybody.
Just another example of Wolfy over exaggerating and being too emotional again?
Vicky.

FAT FAT FAT relative to how Fat your issue is with it and nothing else. She talks utter nonsense. No-one should be emotionally blackmailed into what they can and cannot say at such a trivial level. If she didn't have an issue this would not be an issue.

How can wolfy have a fat day, if she lost 10lbs it would be like taking £4 off the price of a new Jag. She is so messed up, she thinks being fat is someone else's fault. Like most obese people, they invent scenarios to quantify their own mistakes. There is no reason to be fat if it hurts.
Fatness is not relative, being fat is however.

That is absolutely correct. I think she picked on Charlie for using the word FAT because she knows she can't fight her own battles. She went on to tell the FAT twins to run fatties run in the insulting hide and seek nonsense. She is a TOTAL pain in my FAT arse.

Charlie was just having a fat day, I don't understand why Wolfy went off on one.
In the diary room she was saying how she is so comfortable with her weight & it doesn't offend her. Then she completely contradicted herself by flying off the radar & saying how offensive the 'fat' word is :conf:

I don't think she heard a word Charlie was saying. She was only wanting public sympathy that the fat fairy had picked on her and what a difficult cross that is to bear. Then rammed in a HUGE sarnie to show the overwhelming power of the fairy.Take some responsibility for yourself love, you will grow so much more than FAT.

Wolfy is a pathetic, loud mouthed, fat bitch :nono:
She very clearly isn't comfortable being the size she is, otherwise she wouldn't have grabbed her big gut infront of Charlie & said 'You don't have to wake up with this every day!!'...
EVERYONE can feel fat, so of course it is relative. You do not have to be morbidly obese like Wolfy to be classed as "fat".
And Wolfy had the nerve to tell Charlie SHE was insecure! Hello, pots & kettles much! Nothing worse than an insecure fat person constantly bleating on about being 'happy the way they are' when in reality (like Wolfy) they very clearly are not...

Fat is relative but Some people are naturally big so I can kind of see Wolfy's point of view. She went way over the top and the 'I'll let you apologise when I'm ready' attitude that she showed will do her no favours.
The Hm's seems to pick up on Charlies inappropriate comments quite a lot. Are they looking to start arguments with Charlie? I dont know just an observation but I would have thought they'd be a bit more used to Charlies speak first think later approach.

Not for me personally, I've put on weight recently and I do feel bigger.
I don't know at which weight you have to be to be deemed fat but I think in terms of people feeling heavier and seeing they've put on weight I definitely think that's something that applies to everybody. Same with weight loss! If you see you've lost weight on scales or less rolls then you feel good

I think it is relative but at the same time, someone feeling bloated is not the same as being FAT.
It would be like a white person complaining... oh i'm so black, i've been tanning outside all day and my skin is sooo dark.
If you said that near a black person, i can understand that they might get offended.
If you you are moaning about it, it's basically saying that you think there is something wrong with it.
Same with being fat, if you are moaning about feeling fat, it makes it seem like you think there is something wrong or bad about being fat. so of course it would make the actual fat people in the room feel uncomfortable.

you can bleach your skin, or go tanning to change your skin color. so yes, your skin tone is your choice.
The point is, it's nobody's business but your own what you do with your own body. You can look however you wanna look, and you shouldn't be insulting other people's bodies.

I totally agree with this. Some people are larger framed but nobody is naturally obese. Wolfy was being ridiculous and if she's so sensitive that she refers to "fat" as the forbidden "f word" then she should think about doing something about her own situation rather than kicking off at someone not obese feeling uncomfortable in their own skin. I'm naturally slim but I have fat days and can empathize with how Charlie was feeling.

Then by your logic, it's okay to be rude to anyone you like about how they look, because everyone has a choice about how they look. Do you think it's nice to be rude about how people look?
Maybe it shouldn't matter how people look, did that ever cross your mind?

Wolfy is just become over dramatic and over the top as she has been lately.
There was no need for her to blow up as she did at Charlie the other night, and then she said in the Diary Room that she isn't insecure about her weight.
Sometimes tells me she is - the comments about "You don't have to wake up to THIS every morning" and "She doesn't think that there's a fat girl sitting in the room" - those comments alone say she isn't happy with being "fat". If she was fine with it, she wouldn't have blown up like she did.
It's Charlie's prerogative if she wants to feel like she is having a fat day. Wolfy is playing up to the cameras and the audience as she thinks this whole 'doing it for the weirdo's and fat girls' palaver is going to win her the popularity vote - but she's wrong.

There is something wrong about being fat though. People have been told for years the bad health consequences of being overweight or obese so I don't see a problem with anybody saying that they "think there is something wrong with it" as long as they are talking about themselves or else giving a truthful opinion that someone asked them for.
[Before getting attacked I am saying this as someone who could do with losing a little weight myself]
Charlie wasn't talking to Wolfy, she was having a conversation with someone else and Wolfy completely butted in to complain about something that was none of her business. Charlie can feel fat if she wants and just because Wolfy is obese it doesn't give her the right to try and police other people's thoughts and words about how they are personally feeling about themselves.
I also hate this spokeswoman bullsh*t she's trying to pull. She doesn't speak for ALL fat people just because she is big herself.
I don't see why people should have to pussyfoot around Wolfy for fear of offending her. People never have any problem tutting and bitching to smokers about how gross and unhealthy they are, or telling them they stink or that their teeth are yellowing (even if they don't smoke around the person), but the same people would often never open their mouth to dare give any constructive criticism to somebody who overeats a lot and is obese.
It is absolutely nice to be tactful of course, and it would of course have been completely wrong if Charlie had gone up to Wolfy and made nasty comments to her about being obese, or if Charlie when talking about her own weight had started saying something like how 'fat people are also disgustingly horrible individuals.' That would of course have been both untrue and mean.
As it stands though, all she said was that her jeans wouldn't fit and so she felt fat, or something along those lines.
She didn't go overboard with negative descriptions of fat, she made no comment about Wolfy, infact she wasn't even talking to Wolfy at all, she made a simple observation about HER OWN body weight.
I don't think she did anything wrong.

If you are saying that you look repulsive just because you look fat, and there is a person who is actually fat standing right next to you, do you not see how that is offensive?

Realistically, unless Wolfy has a medical condition, she's overweight because of a lack of daily exercise and a poor diet. That's nobody's fault but her own. She should have a little accountability for her own actions, you can't expect everyone to bite their tongue because you've made poor decisions for yourself...

She can be offended all she wants. She has no right though to expect that other people can't use the "f" word around her when they are talking about their own bloody body.
Of course she has the right to ask them never to mention the word fat ever again in her presence because she's obviously so sensitive, but they equally have the right to to tell her no that they will say whatever they want about their own body, and tbh I would agree with anybody who told her no, and to mind her own business.

You can throw as many hypotheticals as you want into the mix, she had no right to try to make charlies comment personal to her as it was never intended to be a topic for protracted conversation.

Yeah I would do the same if a close friend asked me.
However Wolfy had not asked Charlie that before, in fact she pretends to be someone who doesn't care about being fat at all and who is not at all sensitive.
Charlie also was not talking to Wolfy when she said it, Wolfy just happened to overhear.
They only know each other about 2 weeks and are not close friends, so Charlie could reasonably have said. "you're entitled to your opinion, but if I want to say I personally feel fat in a private conversation I will".
Now that she knows Wolfy is extremely sensitive, I'm sure she'll be extra careful not to ever offend her weight. I don't think she expected Wolfy to overhear her conversation tbh, so I wouldn't say that she was really knowingly moaning in front of Wolfy about her weight.
Wolfie is an attention *****. If someone hadn't made the fat comment, she would've found some other reason to ostracize people - talking about bad hair days when she has to wake up to that hair every day, talking about not liking some food item when she has to scrape and save for every morsel she has. People went on and on about Jemima making everything about her, but honestly, compared to Wolfy, she was an amateur.

Charlie is perfectly entitled to say she feels fat, just because she is not the same size as Wolfy doesn't mean she can't express if her jeans feel a bit tight or whatever, Hazel said she was putting on weight as well, I wonder if Wolfy would have taken her on, I think not as she wouldn't get away with it and she knows it, and did we really need to see Wolfy pull up her top and point to her flabby stomach and ask Charlie would she like to wake up to that every day, it is down to Wolfy herself that she does, nobody else.

If she's uncomfortable with her body, shouldn't she just do something about it then?
Wouldn't that be better then expecting everyone else to watch what they say so she's not offended?
I haven't seen Wolfy exercise or make any mention about having a diet, which she clearly should be doing if she actually wanted to get healthy. Unless she has a medical condition, she's overweight because of her own actions, ie: lack of daily exercise and poor diet. This is solely her prerogative and it doesn't seem like she cares to change her habits. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to expect people to watch their mouths concerning the issue of weight, when your insecurities about the topic are self induced in the first place?

If she has such a distorted view of her body then she should be in the Priory, not Big Brother.

It didn't help that Gina reinforced Wolfy, saying that she (Gina) had an eating disorder and refused to discuss it because it was embarrassing. Now even if Charlie's doctor and therapist came in the house, sat Wolfy down and told her she was directly having a negative impact on Charlie's recovery, Wolfy would just ignore them because someone else already validated her (flawed) opinion.

As others have pointed out, Wolfy seizes every opportunity to present herself as a victim and milk whatever sympathy she can, I think she went in there with that as her game plan. She's ranted enough in the diary room about winning it for the fat girls. She's very crafty and manipulative.
If Charlie hadn't made that comment, Wolfy would just have found something else to use to try and portray herself as badly treated.
It's ridiculous that in one breath she is insistent she's happy and has no issues and the next minute she's waffling on about Charlie's insensitivity and how such comments make her feel. Contradicts herself left right and centre.

Yes I agree, the woman is a bloody nightmare. Charlie had exactly the right attitude in letting her rant AT her and not wasting her breath. She made a complete show of herself.

Wolfy"s problem was Charlie using the word fat, using the word fat around people who are fat can imply that been fat is disgusting so i can understand Wolfy not liking it but i dont think she should have acted the way she did, it was OTT.

I cant believe this topic is getting so much air time. Wolfy is milking everything so the fat comment was latched onto as just one more idea for her to get airtime. She contradicts her own opinions so often that she cant be believed to be anything more than a game player and anyone who sees it different needs a serious reality check.

I also think she doesn't like Charlie and was just waiting for an excuse to attack her and to try and turn some of her fans against Charlie.
I think she said in the diary room that both Charlie and Hazel had "dropped the f bomb" around her several times, but yet she never said a thing to Hazel about it at all.

She wouldn't dare say anything to hazel, that's my point she is working so hard to be ingratiated with her.

Also its absolutely ****ing ridiculous to say that someone who has previously had an eating disorder doesnt know what its like to feel fat.
Yeah, if anything Wolfy banging on about how awful Charlie is for mentioning the word Fat after she'd heard that she suffered from an eating disorder is far more insensitive.

Then by your logic, it's okay to be rude to anyone you like about how they look, because everyone has a choice about how they look. Do you think it's nice to be rude about how people look?
Maybe it shouldn't matter how people look, did that ever cross your mind?
Maybe you should be less concerned about outward appearances, did that ever cross your mind? Not at all. I wouldn't dream of being RUDE to anyone about their weight or any or issue. I don't think Charlie was being RUDE at all. She made a comment about herself, it was Wolfie who picked up on it and made it into an issue. If you are sooooo sensitive that you can't allow another person to remark about themselves then I think it's up to you to make yourself feel better, rather than putting it on someone else. I guess it's down to personal responsibility at the end of the day. Wolfie does not help herself. If you watched her with Gina and Jackie watching the VT's it was a prime example, she constantly ate and drank all the way through. The other two didn't. Less hand to mouth would be a start for her, don't you think?

Fat is fat is fat. Most women feel they have fat days.
I am fat, do i feel the word fat should not be mentioned in front of me....no I do not. Wolfy needs to get a bloody grip, her gameplan is backfiring big time.

she's a pathetic excuse for a human being and a disgrace to all fat people , she only doing it as part of her evil master plan anyway.
its like some guy with a wooden leg sayin you cant say your leg hurts cause its not wooden as well lol
there is massive sized people who would love to be wolfs weight. they could have a go at her the way she did to charlie.
if your slim and you feel fat you should be allowed to say so without worrying about what some greedy pig thinks. if they want to be like that thats their problem.
your weight has nothing to do with them, and visa versa.
