View Full Version : Sam - most AWOL winner?

Sam seems very popular on twitter and could coast to victory by virtue of fact he's young good looking* and innocuous i.e. he doesn't p*ss anyone off because - like Sophie - he doesn't do much.

However he has yet to receive much air time since Jemima's eviction.

Whenever there's any action e.g. fun, a row, bitching he's hovering in the shadows.

Jemima did actually provide him with a reason to be featured on HL and without her he's easily become the most background character. Even Daley has his moments every now and then.

There are barely any threads about him here, he;s second least popular and yet he's a contender to win.

*girls like the Harry Styles thing. Pity they didn't put a Zayn Malik lookalike imo

Well he says little and does even less so maybe that's what is liked about him.
I am mystified at how popular he is ,maybe housemates like him are what most people want to watch sadly.

All Pete Bennett did was say w*nkers and accidentally on purpose fall in the pool.
All Rachel Rice did was eat grapes.

Agree Kareeza about winners Pete and Rachel doing little to earn a win. They actively didn't do much but let the other HMs do all the HL show action which was often seen as nasty if entertaining and so by contrast they seemed likable e.g. Rex was witty and mischievous but because he picked on Rachel she by virtue became a winner for nothing else other than being on the end of Rex's snide tongue in cheek teasing and Dale and Luke's bitching.

However, Sam is actually doing less than Rachel and Pete. Sam isn't even a victim he's just doing nothing post Jemima.

he's not so bad, If the Travers' don't win, I'd quite like him to.

He better not win.

He better not win.

I am afraid he's far too bland and innocuous to be on any HMs radar for a nomination and if he was, it's vote to evict so would people en mass pick up the phones to evict him, especially if he was up against 'controversial' (but entertaining)Gina or Dexter? :bawling:

Would be awful if he did win, like you say the only thing we ever saw of him was the flirting with Jemima which he was more than happy to participate in, despite him doing a massive U turn by saying it made him 'uncomfortable', no doubt to try & get a bit of sympathy...

Sam's U -turn on Jemima really shocked me but I found it sort of entertaining, if shallow. On launch night he followed her about, kept using sexual innuendo, telling her she was sexy and how she 'makes my winkie expand', cuddling up to her then when he realises that Jemima is unpopular and likely to be given the heave-ho he goes cold on her, distant and rude.

I'd rather see Sam win than Sophie. But neither would be worthy winners, really.

If all the HMs were like Sam and Sophie, BB's ratings would drop to near-nonexistent.

HTH :)

Yes, both very dull but why prefer Sam over Sophie? Imo Sam's actually done less. Sophie has her 'jealousy over Hazel' storyline

Sophie is a miles better housemate than Sam in my view. She is also getting more into things now too.

His popularity could be sympathy for his deafness. However it must be very difficult to keep up with group conversations. I thought once Jeremiah had left he would be doing more but is this just editing ?Don't know but he doesn't interest me.

I think its more down to his so called similarity to the most overrated person in UK Harry 'sweet 16 brat' Styles

Him and Sophie nominating one another was the only good thing they've done.

They definetely did more than what Sam did so far. Which was 1 or 2 comments in the HL's.
