View Full Version : Has this series run out of steam for anyone else?

Since Michael left this series has felt quite aimless. Everyone seems to be playing the villain and if they're not, they are doing nothing of interest whatsoever. Every week the same, Dexter and Gina get nominated, Jack & Joe talk about how aware they are of everything, Dan casually insults people and describes it as "brutal honesty" and Wolfy bitches.
They have overloaded the house with people who are intentionally argumentative and it has caused a case of diminishing returns, conflict no longer has any weight to it because it occurs all the time, and quite frankly it gets just as boring as no arguments at all.
Does anyone else feel like this?

Its been on a downhill slide for me since Sallie's eviction, its been enjoyable still but not enough to make me care if I stopped watching or not.

for me, it's just picking it up. I was getting bored of the Gina and Dexter show... now we have new nominees, I'm happy.

No, it's picking up after a lackluster second week imo. :)

It won't improve until ALL the deadwood are gone. Sam, Twins, Charlie, Callum, Daley are all wastes of HMs.

I wasn't saying it was due to Michael, I was saying Michael's departure was the turning point, purely contextual.

Tonight during the live noms, they appeared as a bunch of mumbling bumbling bores.

This is now going to be 3 weeks in,nearly a third through the series and likely 3 major characters will have gone.
It isn't running out of steam yet but it is running out of fuel if this keeps up. It could end up a very boring end to what should have been a really great series.
Let's hope some test comes to save the stronger characters in future weeks.

Agree Joey.
If they keep the nominations going like this we are going to lose all the big characters.

They need to think of something and hopefully sooner, rather than later.

I find it's getting better. A lot more bitchiness. If Dexter says and keeps stirring it's going to turn Sophie into a major bitch hah

Could a thread be worse timed? The series has been brilliant for me and it has just picked up.

I liked Michael, but it's got much better since Michael and Sallie left. Shame there are little I like and many I dislike, but the longer Dexter and Gina avoid eviction the better.:D

Please. This is the best series in years.
Definitely not, this series has been brilliant so far imo, a couple of daft decisions by the production team yes as always but other than that I'm finding it to be very entertaining, there's always something going on...

It's just getting better and better for me. It decreased just a bit in the 2nd week but it's coming right back up.
