View Full Version : The way Dexter is treated is reminiscent of how Shebaz was treated in BB7

Obviously it is a completely different situation but the way that everyone thinks they have the right to have a go at him and tare his character to pieces. You even get supporting artists like Sophie (Bonnie) having a pop now everyone else has had a go.

i have to give it to Dexter for being cool, calm & collected. It is crazy how these people have the nerve to talk to him. If I was in there I'm sure I would have a few of them crying. If you cross the line with me I'll put you in your place. If you :devil:think you can do that to me on national television I'll make you regret coming on the show!

I find it hard to relate Dexter to Shebaz because hes a lot more stable and shrugs things off like nothing.

Dexter will win and do it for all of the Shabaz supporters from '06 who never got a chance to see their hero rise.

Dexter has a gameplan... he is a gambler so maybe he's put a huuuuuuuge amount on himself to be evicted in a specific week? He was uber relieved to be saved last week but not that bothered about being up this week.

It's awful the way he is treated by the other hm's.
He doesn't need to defend himself. Every time he sits back and says nothing, they get more worked up and make themselves look even worse than they did the day before. At this point, no matter who wins, they're all going to come out of that house looking like a herd of 13 year old mean girls.
If he ever gives in and gives them a reaction, they'll feel justified. The more he plays the rope out for them to hang themselves, the better he's looking week to week.

I like Dexter but he does it to himself. He caused a lot of drama over the tennis ball for no reason. He wanted the attention of having the knowledge all to himself and it turned out negative. I think he really likes the attention but it's backfiring socially inside the house at times. But the public like him so it's all good. Makes it even more interesting as others get booted and he keeps getting saved.

I loved when he said, "so you would have all been quite happy to smoke the cigarette if I'd gotten one, but none of you will take any share of the blame of asking for the cigarette?"
I may have gotten the end section of that quote slightly wrong, but it was a good point that he made at the time.

Dexter is socially awkward but i think that's all it is. He's trying his hardest to fit in and they're just being cowardly, gang mentality pricks to him.
The way the twins in particular speak about him and too him is disgusting and shows their true personalities. Hazel is being vile to him too and i think it's because Dexter sees model types like her all the time in his business and he's hit the nail on the head with her a few times and now she's going on the attack. And a lot of them are just joining in to be in with the larger crowd.......dickheads!
I get the feeling Dexter's just getting more popular with the viewers the longer this go's on though. Let's see how smug they all are when he survives AGAIN this week!

He's not in there for the other hm's at all. He's there for the public. The rest of the house is a means to an end for him. If he ever does develop a real bond with anyone in there, it's going to be his downfall, because that's the moment he'll let his guard down.
Someone socially awkward wouldn't be so adept at giving people just enough rope to hang themselves. He does it on a daily basis. If there's anything about him that I don't believe so far, it's that he's given up gambling. He's reading that house like a poker table, and I wouldn't doubt if the end game for him relates directly to bets pre-arranged before he went in the house.

I beg to differ Indy.
You can clearly see on multiple occassions that the way he's being treated is hurting him (even though he's trying not to show it). He's like 99.9% of humanity. He just wants to be liked.

Dexter is definetly the smartest HM in the house. I think he knows that the other HMs ganging up on him is making them look bad to the public and making himself look good and in all honesty its working. The twins and Wolfy in particular are vile towards him. You can tell they were bullied at school, well looking at them theres no surprise. Dexter or Gina to win!

sophie and wolfie were a disgrace tonight, sophie didn't even know what she was talking about, wolfie is the real snake

That doesn't change the game he's playing. If he were as awkward as people insist, he wouldn't be the one setting people up to hang themselves. Wolfy didn't spontaneously offer up that everyone knew she wouldn't go, he set her up for that speech. Just like he did with Jemima on the speeches to save themselves, just like he did with Dan when he owned up to the suggestion box (Sallie was an added bonus).
It doesn't strike you as odd that someone so completely incapable of relating to other people knows exactly what buttons to push to set someone off without looking like he's setting them up?
