Firstly we need to know what was actually said, but if Gina is right then Callum is trying to be 'deceptively intelligent' here.

Hes pissed off Dan for nominating him over Gina, assuming he was closer to Callum than Gina is. Callum may be trying to work Dan by trying to reason not nominating Gina over this so-called 'complement' she has given about being the "only one not to have been bad-mouthed in the DR". I think he had hoped Gina would go along with this and feel happy by him saying "it was a massive complement" over and over, but shes actually straightened it out.

I don't know if I'm a good judge of character, but it definitely came off as if he was lying. He put his arms on his hips as if he had been defeated before the real argument had even started. He tried to keep her quiet by telling her how much of a compliment it was to him. And he topped it off by agreeing that he had misunderstood the comment. Gina seemed genuinely surprised by what he said, and we've all seen what a good memory she has(better than Jackie and Wolfy at least)

But then again who really knows, we'll see tomorrow.
