Because thats the trendy thing to do. She knows that shows like Glee are making nerds or eccentrics very popular and she's playing it up so blatantly so she can win. Not that there is anything wrong with "freaks" being popular, but she's fully aware and trying so hard to use that to her advantage. Too bad she's not even that weird, she's just horrible.

Wolfy is trying so hard to appear to be a 'character' bypassing the fact she has zero charisma and more personality flaws than the average Rampton guest.
