Why does Demand 5 refer to this year's Big Brother as..

It really ******ing annoys me. Especially considering how Channel 5 themselves, now embrace the fact that this is BB14 and last year's was BB13, and so on - if you notice on Bit On The Side when someone from a Channel 5 series was on it will now say 'Tom O Conoll: BB12' rather than 'Tom: BB 2011'.

Because it's not series 14 on channel 5. It's nothing sinister, just for the sale of demand 5 they call it series 3. They still refer to it as series 14 everywhere else. :)

It's the third series to air on Channel 5 and the third series to be put on Demand 5. It's easier to list.

It isn't being listed as "BB3". It's listed under series 3 but they aren't actually calling it "BB3".
