Channel 5 confirm Daley "clasped Hazel by the neck and pinned her down"

Official diary room transcript released by Channel 5

Channel 5 press office have also released to The Sun Online an extract from the Diary Room where the issue was addressed by Big Brother.

It reads as follows:

Big Brother: "You said: Do you want me to go ********** mad now?"

Hazel: "Yeah... you should do it."

Daley: "Do you remember when I said yeah when I go mad it’s ********** scary... doesn’t mean I’m gonna hit you but it’s scary s**t."

Hazel: "Go for it."

Daley: “Have some respect for your ********** elders, yeah do you understand me? Cos if you don’t... I’ll finish you..."

Daley: “Respect your ********** elders, before I nut you one.”

Big Brother: "You slapped Hazel’s behind. You also clasped Hazel around her neck and then pinned her to the bed by both arms."

Daley and Irish model Hazel have regularly been seen flirting with one another in recent episodes causing friction amongst the contestants because of his girlfriend at home.

Big Brother is on Channel 5 tonight at 10pm.

From the bits we watched I was sure that Hazel never seemed worried or concerned by him, it all looked like flirting to me, yep it was aggressive flirting but I was sure Daley wouldn't do harm to her. But from reading what little they've released of their convo, I'm pretty shocked that security didn't step in and get her away from him sooner.

Now BB has been really pernickety this year when it's come to people saying the wrong things, Jem's and Dex's warnings come to mind. So I don't understand why this was allowed to continue. Unless like me, BB thought it was just flirting, of course up until Daley crossed the line.

I did - I mentioned in another thread last night (the one asking if Daily Male's GF should go in on Friday) that she should go in - if only to warn Hazel how controlling he was likely to become. He had already told her he preferred no make up and he liked natural looks etc etc...

He is a card carrying thug...The reason he has stayed so quiet is because he knows if he shows himself as he really is he will be history. Last night under the guise of being drunk on 3 drinks he showed his true colours. Now he will take this all home to his girlfriend and make it all her fault...if she hadn't gone on T.V to bad mouth him this would never have happened. The other thing I don't understand is if Hazel was in this dangerous situation why they didn't remove him immediately and why security didn't step in to haul him off, why just call him to the DR? very strangely handled if you ask me. Personally I think he crossed the line but it is obvious Hazel wasn't a quivering wreck after this ordeal, she was giving as good as she got for all of what we saw. I think this was reviewed today and the producers felt it could escalate and they couldn't risk Daley going nuts, so they nipped it in the bud.

I really do disagree.. not saying that it was him trying to actually choke her, but being clogged up on alcohol, being in an aggressive nature (you can see this by the way he was talking to her) and then to even pretend to choke her just isn't the norm.

The way he stormed out into the garden and shouted up at Dexter in the treehouse the other night made me think he was a volatile chap. When Hazel and Dexter came down into the garden Daley looked quite threatening towards Dexter and also Hazel.

Yes I saw it coming and expressed my concerns yesterday. Why did BB tone down the menacing aggression of the shower scene last night if they thought it was OK.They completely and deliberately missed out the worst of his RANT..
