lol, probably not true, they don't do anything with a jury five hours after something happens

A jury is a long way down the line after an arrest. It doesn't make any sense!

Oh for god sakes people should pipe the fook down. This isn't the 1930's where a black man dared to touch a white woman. Lol just came back, and going there already.

But seriously, I don't know. Maybe I need to watch it 100 more times to think Daley deserves all this. :conf:

big brother as a duty or care wht he did was assault they would of had to inform the police surely ? think of the legal issues if they didnt and what about hazels family

That would be up to Hazel. I'm not defending him by the way, I think he's an utter **** ". I'm just struggling to believe your initial post!

Why would they need a jury?

I can understand an assault charge, but why would they need a jury?

To decide weather he is guilty of assault or not

It wouldn't be a jury - they mean magistrate and his ex prob wanted him arrested for non payment of maintainance for his kids (the ones who's lives he swore on when he was lying ! )
If you were their mother you would apply for a warrant when he's there for all to see on tv !

But, no need for a jury tho.. whole thing is plain to see.

I dont think they can do anything unless Hazel presses charges but Im not a legal eagle. It would have to be Hazel herself would make the complaint to the police.

If the police have video evidence of an assault, it may not be necessary for the person assaulted to press charges.

But I think the police might have a tough time getting charges to stick. Daley could call Hazel as a defence witness to testify they were just fooling around. She would have a hard time trying to deny it as she has accepted a formal warning from Endemol for her part in the incident.

(I'm not a legal beagle, although I do have a minor legal qualification. :))

He's waiting for Jury now?

Blimey that was quick, so he's been arrested, he's had a preliminary court hearing and his case is being sent to trial/

You'll have him in the electric chair by Friday

And people think it's an exaggeration that shows like CSI and Law and Order make people more stupid about how the legal system works...

What a ridiculously sketchy thing to start a thread about!!!

What are those ? Tweets ?
Like everyone said already, it would take months for a court date to even be arranged and then it would have to be sent to a Crown Court before a Jury Trial could even be instigated.
They wouldn't even have a Jury trial for something like this anyway. At the most it could possibly be termed as Assault but even then i doubt very much that he'd be convicted due to it being part of a reality TV show.

Silly, silly thread!!!:nono:

Yeah actually this does look just like an unfounded rumour started by someone desperate for some more followers or a bit of twitter publicity, going to close this until anything more solid is heard
