View Full Version : Have BB changed the nominations procedure..
Vicky.

To combat the block voting we see year in year out? It was obvious it was going to happen again this year, the ones who go against the 'main' group being up week in week out. Every year we complain about it. Have they finally listened?
It would be better if they had told us about this change in the rules though..but it seems they have a 2 nominations and you are up rule now.
No. They're making it up as they go along to save Dexter and Gina

Think their so smart.. More money to be made i guess.
Hopefully Marc is right and they are doing it to safe Gina and Dexter which will explain the good ratings lately
Vicky.

Erm..more people up means G+D are more in danger. Remember Nikki? The controversial ones are much more likely to go the more housemates are up..with vote to evict.
Had it been just Gina Dexter and Callum this week, it would be almost a certainty that Callum would go.

Do eviction odds mean or gaurantee things? Because I've never really believed them.

How did you work that out? :joker:

Because thats how it works..
If it was vote to save, more up would mean they were safer. With vote to evict, the more controversial housemates are always in danger with loads of housemates up. Which is how Nikki ended up getting evicted in bb7. She had a lot of fans, but a lot of people who didnt like her (much like gina and dexter). Had that week been a head to head, or even 3 way, no way would she have gone.

It went from Callum > Gina > Dexter to Jackie > Callum > Twins > Gina > Dexter.
Keep lying to yourself if that makes you feel better :idc:

Yes, i think so. It's a smart move. Otherwise we'd just have Gina and Dexter up every week. Which is not fair. :nono:

It's really not that difficult to understand!
The more people that are up the more the votes get spread out.
If it was just Dexter and Gina up with Callum then all the D & G fans (and anyone else with a particular dislike of Callum) would just vote to evict Callum and he'd be gone. Simples!

I thinks it's definitely better that they always have more than 2 up although this would have worked even better if they'd left it as vote to Save. The fact that they haven't actually explained the rule change though makes me feel suspicious and that they can change things when it suits them http://i.imgur.com/pfwlejR.gif

Yeah..should have been vote to save still..putting more housemates up with vote to evict would generally see the wallpaper sail to the final :bored:

We can't ban each other, we have tried before
Josy can ban any of us 'normal' mods though :hmph:
What? I dont get the first part of your post at all.
That's what I think is the likelihood of eviction. If it was just three of them up.. Callum would be evicted first and Gina possibly second if its a double and Dexter safe. But now Gina will be safe because Jackie Callum and the Twins are all more likely to be evicted over her and Dexter so double or normal it saves them
That being said one of the two of Ginxter could have possibly gone in a regular eviction as a 'shock'.. But now 5 people are up they won't even come close

Yeah and the only problem there ever was with Vote to Save was that alot of times it was only ever two people up so it may as well have been Vote to Evict, seems a bit stupid that they'd finally change it to 3 or more or whatever it is now but then go back to Vote to Evict again

Did someone not mention on here that it was "anybody that gets nominated is up".
I wonder if that was the twist that we never got to hear about.
That would make sense, only other reason for it would have been a double fiction.
Niamh.

Especially now Daley's been kicked out, even if they were planning a double, they've probably scrapped it now

Yeah, all seems a bit up in the air this week.
Vicky.
17-07-2013, 10:20 AM
I think the twist was going to be that only Hazel and Daleys nominations counted.
Doesn't make sense at all
Edit: not to your post Vicky
Vicky.
17-07-2013, 10:21 AM
Because the housemates nominating this week seemed to be a last minute thing, they left it really late..I'm sure they usually nom on a sunday
because they predicted who Daley was going to nominate as well and added his votes, sounds reasonable
Vicky.
17-07-2013, 10:23 AM
Hazel said on LF that they had 'eliminated' Dexter and Callum. And Dexter replied with something along the lines of 'thanks for another week off'
So it had to be Daley and Hazel having all the power this week...
I just need some clarity

Yes, it all makes sense. I think that was the original plan. Just wondering why the need for 5 this week when the last 2 did not even have the same amount of norms.
I'd understand (maybe just a tiny bit) if it was a double..
Vicky.

See this is it. If its not a double..they have definitely not done it to save Gina or Dexter, as neither would have left against Callum.
So (assuming its not a double) either they are protecting Callum for some reason, which is unlikely.. they want Jackie/twins out for some reason, again unlikely..or they have just changed the rules to 2+ noms up.

I don't think they've ever said what their logic behind who was up was at all, which makes me suspicious of them changing things whenever it suits them

According to DS, Emma said a few weeks back that those with 2+ were up. I dont watch BOTS usually though so don't know if this is true or not.

Yeah this is exactly right; votes get diluted when there are more people up in a vote to evict so the controversial housemates end up being evicted with a lower overall percentage than anyone being evicted in a head to head, for the most part. If it was a head to head then the fans of a controversial housemate would vote like mad for the other person to be evicted; but if it's a three way then fans of the controversial housemate have to divide their votes to evict between two people or hope that they all focus on one particular housemate... and unless every voting fan of the controversial housemate is willing to spend more than they usually do, that means less votes are going to any one particular housemate and more chance that the haters will succeed, because their voting is aimed solely at the controversial housemate.

That would actually make a lot of sense, because before now any housemate who has 2 or more nominations would have been up regardless as they had the highest. So I guess if this is true then this is the first time it has made it seem odd.

Interesting. It seems that this week your BB has ripped a page on our BBīs handbook in terms of deciding the number of people up for eviction. In our series 4-8, we never were sure how many HM would be up for eviction and even a person that got a one single nomination or two was in danger. In fact, it has happened. It was infuriating, cause it was clear that BB protected some housemates more than the others.
This is not a good thing. Kind of disappointing really, as i thought BB UK was constant in terms of the rule regarding "how many people are up".
Only Dexter, Gina and Callum should be nominated. And i think, itīs clear that this has been done to save Dexter or Gina or both for that manner. I know this because, it has happened so, so many times in our BB, that you learn to spot the signs.
Gutted.

I really don;t think it has been done to save Gina or Dexter. callum would have gone over these two, and by a long shot.

If it's been done to protect anyone (and that is a massive IF) then Callum is the one who it protects. BB need their love triangle, even more so now that the Dazel relationship is over.

There seems to be a constant rule. 2+ noms and you're up. It's consistent with the rest of the week and apparently it was said on BOTS. But they should say it in the main show anyway. And it's a stupid rule I think.
