Is Judy James the worst psychologist/Body Language Expert in the world !!!

Has anyone heard of this apparent world reknown judy james the body language expert/psychologist... all i hear her say seems to be utter crap just based on her favourites. :conf:

lmao and the best was jackie would pick callum over dexter, but as soon as she leaves jackie tells everyone she would rather pick dexter and callum throws a hissy fit over it.....

She's a pop-psychologist, just makes half of it up as she goes along based on her own feelings and some vague observations of body language, but even those are clumsy. I have no idea where they got her from. You're right she said "Jackie would rather choose Callum than Dexter" purely because SHE would - Jackie's own interactions with the two have never suggested that at all. She doesn't trust Dexter, especially with her daughter's feelings, but she's much warmer towards him than towards Callum who she quite clearly actively dislikes. Any half-decent psychologist should have been able to see that. I only have an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and have never actually worked in a related job, and find it painfully obvious.

I have only two explanations;

1) She is just really rubbish at her job, and isn't good at reading people OR

the more likely 2) ... she doesn't actually bother to watch the show properly and get to know the housemates, and makes basic snap judgements based on very little.

Well yeah but they're just presenters, all they're really there to do is chatter and read an autocue. You'd think the people who are supposed to be "experts" would at least have some sort of academic background!

This. In fact, she's my favourite part of BOTS. I always find her to be very insightful, and being interested in psychology and body language myself, particularly interesting. I'm really glad they have her on the show and I think she does a great job

I have learned a lot by listening to her describe the tell-tale signs of what someone is really thinking - not by what they say but how they position themselves. I think she is very clever and fascinating to listen to.

If people were actually listening to her in her BOTS interview she said that was a massive HINT to Jackie. Jackie should cop onto that fact and listen rather than crow over how Judy got it wrong. ala 'I'm Jackie TRAVERS! No one can read ME!!'

JJ is an excellent body language expert and has rarely if ever been wrong about what people REALLY mean and what their subcommunications are. She KNEW Jackie was more hostile towards Callum! She was dropping a MASSIVE HINT on Jackie that Callum is more controllable.

They just state the obvious for the most part and then just join up the dots with stabs in the dark that are hit and miss.
It's the way they state their opinions as straight up facts that really annoys me. If they were saying "well the way i see it is...." i'd be fine with it but they don't.

In addition, I don't think you can class her with the asparagus readers or the rear-end readers who are only put there for fun in most cases. Their contributions have no provable basis. However, body language does have a much more scientific basis. You don't have to study to read asparagus but I think you do for body language.

Just like to bring this up again after watching wednesday nights bbots. I think she is now the worst part of the show, she is utter garabage, she isn't a body langauge expert she never even talks about their body langauge all she goes on about is who are her favourites. it also has come to my attention how badly she is at it and even keeping up the act and completely forgetting what she has already said, on wednesday night she made out that callum was all an act but the week jackie went and the weeks before, she was saying he has been the only true one in the house and hasn't changed but wednesday she has said him and dexter are the biggest actors. i'm really fed up with her now, she mite as well just be a member of the audience and get one of the audience up instead

It is not possible to judge the attractiveness of one person to another by looking at a television screen, factors such as the sense of smell, body temperature and heart rate are used by scientists.
