View Full Version : Ditching Dexter...

...for Hazel!
It's gotten to the point where she's practically being dehumanized and every single action or sentence is scrutinised for its "pot stirring intention". It is ridiculous. If anyone else had ACCURATELY pointed out that Dex and Callum look like twats, no one would have batted an eyelid, but because Hazel said it, it's an evil plan to deliberately start an argument. Meh.
Also - again - the Callum / Jackie argument was the only interesting part of the show so what, exactly, is the problem? She's creating interesting viewing, much like Dexter used to before he started spending all day trying to perform analingus on Jackie so that he can finger her daughter.
Everyone loved it when Dexter did it. Simple bias. He's boring me now so I only have one option! Hazel ftw. She'll be out in 2 weeks but ... yeah. better housemate than Dexter / Gina at the moment. I'm going to have to convert to (original) Dazel (Dan and Hazel before Daley stole the D).
There's only one logical conclusion: Hazel is the new Dexter. But she won't get fans like he did because she isn't a silly awkward skinny little fella.

I'm a fan of the show, not a groupie. Dexter was good TV, now he's involved in the most boring love triangle in TV history. He's lost my support!
It's like the whole Gina thing... we've seen all she has to offer, she's been dull as dishwater since the safehouse, but she's going to be lingering like a stubborn turd until the final (may even win!) because if "loyal fans". Yawn!

I said she'll be out in 2 weeks :p
But... only being a fan if you think someone will win, isn't THAT the defnition of a fickle fan? Reminds me of a drunken woman I saw stumble out of a pub after the Wimbledon final, cheering to us that "Andy Williams" had won and how happy she was about it.
Half the Gina fans are only Gina fans because she's popular. Paradox? Maybe, and yet true!
I prefer an underdog.
I even tried to like Wolfie, but she had that twitchy eye thing and it upset me. And she kept grebbing everywhere.:nono:

I do agree with your OP and the Dan support, but I'm not sure whether I actually like Hazel or just find myself often defending her because I feel she gets disproportionate criticism from most people lol

She's not particularly likeable and is playing games but, no more than any other housemate. And she does get criticised disproportionately.
Let's face it, none of this year's bunch is particularly likeable. That doesn't mean they don't make good Viewing though, and they've (mostly) all had their good moments. Except Jemima. She had none.
I'm ot saying Dexter can't get back on track still be he needs to ditch this Charlie Travers story arc and get his focus back! Maybe he could pair off with Hazel. As an ally, obviously. A "romance" there would be weird... like genetically impossible incest or something.

I was more bemused than angered at Hazel highlighting to others that a relationship they were hankering, yes hankering, after was likely making them look like idiots. Like a pot calling a kettle a pot.

There was a genuine sexual spark between Hazel and Daley, what happened wouldn't have happened if there wasn't. She might have pursues it as a showmance, but actually it was one of the least "showmancy" pairings there's been on BB. Disastrously so. Even the aftermath stinks of Daley having had genuine feelings for her.
The callum and dexter and Charlie thing though... it's not the showmance that makes them look stupid, it's the fact that they're like puppies sniffing around for scraps when she's not interested in either of them. She just likes the attention. If anything, Charlie is worse than Hazel, who was at least genuinely physically attracted to Daley.
I actually think she was trying to do Dexter, at least, a favour by saying "take a step back and look at this, you look like a fool, it's damaging your image". She's right, it is, Dexter knows that if he thinks about it, and any Dexter fan who wants him to do well should want him as far from a Charlie Callum love triangle as possible. He's better than that. Hazel sees it... she's a bigger dexter fan than any of you!

I do like how she's a calculating sly bitch but she isn't as good value as Dexter
She's much better than a lot of other housemates though

I would do a new signature, but it's still my favourite quote of the series.

It's fickle if supporters ditch a HM for no good reason, Dexter hasn't suddenly become a bad HM overnight, and to ditch him for Hazel is beyond mental.
BUT, to each their own.

But good luck to you.

Can you imagine his tears of joy! :D

I've not totally discounted him, he's just been relegated from the all important "BB14 favourite" user info slot. He's still up there but... I have to say... he HAS become a much worse housemate over night. The Charlie triangle is rubbish! He's better than that, like I said, and any Dex fan should be thanking Hazel for trying to let him know that he looks like an idiot for pursuing it.
A Dexter "fan" who thinks the Dex/Charlie relationship is good for his image doesn't really appreciate what the little scamp is all about. It was good at the start when he was in control, but both him and Callum just look like schoolboys scrapping over a girl now. Disappointing from him! He has more to show than this nonsense. Should team up with Hazel and cause some mischief, then I could be a fan of both. Dextel? Hazter?
no... Hexter! perfect.

I would disagree.
Dex is a genius, he constantly changes it up so that he is always "in the news".
Its like he has a list in his head of all the things you need to do to get noticed in the BB house. And how to ensure you are on every nightly show:
Outrageous backstory - check
Cause trouble in house - check
Be shockingly direct - check
Piss a load of people off - check
Have a love story - check
Make a surprising nomination - check
Have breakdown - ...

dexter backstabbed gina, so i dont care about him, he is not attracted to charlie either, he is just playing the game. charlie is just as devious as dexter, she is playing the game too. i dont understand why some people think she is pretty and innocent. she is neither pretty nor innocent.
