Most will probably disagree with me here but I genuinely felt as though we saw the most endearing moment of the series tonight when they were all talking about sexual experiences and Sam couldn't hear what was going on and went "Callum?" in a cry for help sort of way, and Callum explained it to him using his arms as an aid so Sam could hear. Really showed how wonderful their friendship is and made for such a subtle but endearing moment.

And then Jackie had to ruin it :bored:

She is utterly vile. I think Callum is the only HM to bother with Sam and does his best to communicate and include him.

yes it kind of got overshadowed by the hag.

other moments less endearing but at least prove there is an organ beating in their somewhere......
Gina being direct and honest with Daley.
Dexter rubbing lipstick off Gina's teeth.
Erm.....

I really liked jackie Travers but she's turning into a bit a of a looney. I'm not a Callum fan but Jackie is gone over board with her dislike for him

Nauseating

:yuk:

How is it nauseating for a friend to help another friend who can't hear so well? Just because you don't like Callum and Sam doesn't mean everything they do is 'nauseating' or 'creepy'.

Agreed, their relationship is very sweet. Saw a video on BB site today where Sam was trying to advise Callum to stay away from Charlie, they are looking out for each other, its lovely

Before the argument she said something, as usual ,derogatory about Callum to Sam when he said he liked Callum. In her usual rude and patronising manner she said she knew best as she was old or words to that effect.

Thanks for the thread Barker it was the first one up on the topic, and my favourite last night, great observation, its these unseen or missed gestures that reveal a person.

Well she is a 59 year old women! She doesn't have time for that kind of thing in her life with all the experiences she's had!:sleep::sleep:

I don't see how anyone can find that moment particularly endearing, but each to their own obviously.

It's not like Callum went out of his way to get Sam involved in the conversation either. Sam had to ask him a couple of times before he responded.

I wish I could see it that way, but Callum comes across as condescending when he talks to Sam IMO. It reminds me of a friend I had in school - he had a disability which made him unable to control how his body moved, but mentally he was as normal as everyone else. End result - it took him longer to get words out sometimes because his mouth wouldn't listen to his brain. There were some people who talked to him in that sing songy little kid voice they use for someone who is mentally retarded. He had more than a few blow ups over it by the time we got to high school.

Callum seems to go to the extreme with Sam, beyond what he needs to understand, and it feels very patronizing to watch.

Totally agree Braden, I think he took great delight in relaying "pummelling" as he knew Jackie would be disgusted. Just look at the vid of him telling Sam he paws at Charlies hair to piss off Jackie. Lovely bloke.

Totally Indy, he over exaggerates his words with everyone but he goes overboard with Sam.
