View Full Version : Hazel gotten away with it.

Seems like Haze is slowly fading in to the background and the whole Daley thing is being forgotten about.
The hate for her has died down a bit and I can see her lasting a lot longer than she originally would have.
I have to admit, I used to detest Hazel but the Daley business feels like such old news that I don't have that same hate for her.
How long do you think Hazel will last?

I never hated her in the first place, I dont know her, and in the scheme of things there are people who do some bloody awful things that deserve hate, this is BB, however i disagree with with her behaviour. Last couple of nights she suggested a Dexter get in the shower with Charlie, when Dan told Charlie to go to stop to prevent her digging herself in deeper Hazel argued otherwise, then she told Charlie shes embarassing herself with Dexter that she should tell him how it is in a nasty way.
She doesnt actually bring anything to the show for her own sake. That said their are a couple of housemates who have faded since the begining, but if she dont change her game your right she'll either fade or continue to be disliked because she stirs in other peoples lives because she brings nothing. Id really like her to prove otherwise because you'd get to know her better to maybe care about her as a HM and secondly she'd be interesting enough to prefer her to stay over others.

Hazel is pretty but nothing special, dull, lost without Daley/love interest, fame-hungry and rather ruthless. As soon as she's up, she's out.

That's probably an unpopular opinion but I do agree with it a little. Daley was out of order but Hazel in the diary room acting like a damsel in need of saving definitely put the final nail in Daley's big brother coffin.
Now like a good panther she will slink away in the dark and keep a low profile while she stalks another prey.

She was wrong to push so far into Daley's affections, however Daley should have told her he was in a commited relationship and wanted nothing like that.
Instead he changed his story to that there were problems in his relationship outside the house, thereby giving her the come one.
What happened after that fun changing into something more sinister was done and from Daley himself completely.
So in my opinion,Hazel has not got off with anything because she had nothing to get off from.
She has however more than likely had a lucky escape the temperament Daley seems to have.

The only fright she got was when BB intervened and called Daley to the DR, that's when she jumped onto that sofa in a panic fearing she would be called next plus wondering how BB had viewed the incident would she be blamed for it and how to deflect the blame. She deflected it all on to Daley by acting "terrified".

Sorry, not so, Hazel's expression had changed well before Daley was first called to the diary room.
Clearly she had become more unsure as to the situation.

What do the viewing public have to pay her back for? Nice though that you think people should harass someone into having to move country.

Sorry, not so, Hazel's expression had changed well before Daley was first called to the diary room.
Clearly she had become more unsure as to the situation.
Some people aren't very good at reading a situation even when it's right there... it was pretty obvious that Hazel was starting to get uncomfortable with it before Big Brother intervened. A lot of people (on this forum and in the general public) don't seem to be able to identify how a person is feeling unless they're screaming and blustering about it. There was definitely a subtle - but clear - change in how she was reacting to the situation.
Either that or people just let their bias cloud their judgement in cases like this.
It's one of the things that really bothers me about "trial by jury" in court... people are so full of prejudice and the "average person" really isn't qualified to be judging things like this. As is evident from people's reactions to the Daley situation.
Either she's an evil homewrecking slut who was asking for it / twisted it all to suit her... or he's some sort of aggressive sexual predator who planned to hurt her. The reality is that neither of these things are true. He took a game too far and lost control of himself, she wasn't prepared for it to go as far as it did and got scared and then was honest about that when asked.
I don't think she expected either of them to be kicked out and I certainly don't think she twisted anything so that he would "take the fall"... in fact, to me, it seems like Big Brother's decision had very little to do with what Hazel said in the diary room. It was mainly the aggressive language he was using and the potential for it to upset people who might be watching - particularly, victims of sexual aggression or domestic abuse.

Only if BB fixes the noms again. Can't see Hazel being nominated, given how things are currently in the house. Who would nominate her?
Dan? No... Charlie? No... Dexter... unlikely... Gina? Maybe.
Twins, Sam, Sophie, Callum... all highly unlikely.
Realistically I can only see her getting one or two nominations, and I think there will be at least 3 others who get 3 or more - Dexter, Gina, Callum/Twins (depending who goes this week) and maybe even Dan.
Sorry, you're stuck with her

You give her far too much credit. Perhaps she was frightened of Daley and not how it would reflect on her.
EDIT. Also, note she has never blamed him. In fact, she blames herself for getting him chucked out but while he's outside heavily implying she was to blame for everything she has never resorted to that inside the house.
I cant believe people still think she's some kind of bitch after what happened.

SHE CERTAINLY DIDNT LIE. She was asked if she felt threatened or uncomoftable and she told the truth. She also mentioned that she DIDNT want Daley to get into trouble. Daley was violent towards her. We all saw it. HOW could you say that??? Daley got HIMSELF evicted with that behaviour

What she said in the DR was intended to deflect any blame for the incident from her, and she achieved that, she merely got a slapped wrist for exposing his genitalia on TV.
I don't dislike Hazel at all... She came in and did what she knew would get her airtime and she did it without creating too much direct conflict with other housemates. Everyone vilified her over Daley, but now that he's out of the house there's been plenty of evidence to suggest that he's more of the monster he revealed himself to be that night in the Safe House than he portrayed himself to be in the days prior.
Daley is more than likely a monster and she was better off to have gotten away from him with as little conflict as she did. If a man would behave like that on a television program that is viewed internationally, one can only imagine what he would do behind closed doors.
My thoughts on Dazel from another thread.

She didn't lie in the Diary Room or to Dan. Her account of what happened was exactly how it happened, they were messing around, she thought it was a game but Daley went too far, she said she wasn't sure if he was serious and he seemed to turn just before BB called him to the DR, all that was backed up by her body language and facial expression. Also, she told Dan they were both messing around and that she pulled his shorts down and that she got a warning

She never "spooned" all this came from Daley trying to plead his case. They showed what happened, he asked her for a hug, she got in his bed and gave him a hug then got back out 2 minutes later and walked away to the other side of the room, she looked completely uncomfortable.

That was AFTER they had spent the remainder of the night together
If Big Brother had felt she was in danger, or if she had given them any indication that she felt in dangere, they would have removed one of them from the SH but Hazel didnt want that, she wanted what she had been asking for for 4 weeks
