'I guess it's just, knowing that we're closer to the end of Big Brother than we are to the beginning - it's sad really, that it'll all be over soon.'

This really put things into perspective for me. I felt sad listening to this.

What a fantastic series it's been, I can't believe how fast it's went - yet at the same time, it feels like so long ago since Michael and Sallie were the stars of the show.

Big Brother 14 will go down as one of the greats. It's just a shame that in less than four weeks, the house will be full of Z Listers and Channel 5 will be acting like BB14 never happened, because it's all about the 30th series of Celebrity Big Brother. :idc:

Get into what? I have no intentions of watching CBB - I'm not the only one who's boycotting it aswell. There's no need.

I didn't watch CBB10 either. I tuned in now and then to see Rhian Sudgen but other than that had no interest. I don't believe in ruining a fantastic summer series by rushing in a bunch of dull celebrities in a desperate bid to gain ratings.

CBB to me, belongs in the winter and always will.

The name 'CBB12' makes me feel ill tbh...series 12 for **** sake

We should've only just had the 10th series this January if it had remained one a year, we're soon gonna be level with the civilian run, it's repulsive :yuk:

Well it's funny how the ratings for cbb are always higher than the normal one then Patrick? [think i'm right about that , without double checking]
And without trying to sound too maudlin about it...some of us don't have all the time in the world to wait for a programme that we like...so the more the better!...[but on this one, thankfully for you, it will be a long time before you realise that I know what i'm talking about.]

anyway, goodnight my young friend...us oldies need more beauty sleep than you lot! :xyxwave:

I agree that not having a summer CBB would be far better, one in january is enough. It was difficult last year trying to get into a new series so quickly following the end of BB13. However, it does attract higher ratings and so I don't blame C5 for airing more of it. I'll still watch, and most likely enjoy it.

CBB is the only thing that keeps regular BB on air so I don't know why you complain about it, the CBB ratings compensate for the crappy regular BB ratings, if there was no CBB there's no way they'd keep the regular version on air

1.7m is great ratings for channel5, and the normal BB is longer so gives them a larger spread. I think BB and CBB balance each other out (unfortunately).

Good quote, because BB is almost over for Dan.

Sorry I can't call him a queen or such like on here because I'll get another mod warning, but it'll serve him right to get evicted for being "alternative" and "different".

Is that OK to say?

I enjoy the celebrity version and I'm always happy when they follow the summer show with this, because I always feel a void when the summer version ends.

It's sad that in 4 weeks, BB would be gone, but whether CBB is great or not, I won't forget how good BB14 has been. I prefer normal BB, but I also enjoy CBB. I just wish it was on once a year. Interested to know who will be going in.

Well you changed your tune, I seem to recall a post by you saying that the series was dead and it would fall flat on its arse within the first two weeks..:joker:

is that the bloke that won the lottery.:conf:No its just a drunk bloke that crashed his car and everybody on the internet took the piss out of him but it woud be a pretty good catch for C5 and CBB better than most they get.

I'm not watching CBB this year. I hope the ratings plummet for CBB.

I'll watch the January CBB however.

It sucks how quickly these civilian series go. I find them far more interesting than watching some z-lister bores. It's just the way like there's no 'recovery' period after the series, it just like "forget that, we've got celebs in there in 2 days time" - it just kills off the excitement of the main series and the winner is instantly buried. I hope they go back to the original formula of one CBB and one civilian series if C5 renew the contract.

Thing is... I wouldn't actually mind CBB if they had actual entertaining celebrities, but no, they have about 2 big names (who aren't even entertaining) and the rest haven't been heard of for years or at all.

If they had cast big stars all for one series then that would be good, but it's like they purposely choose 1 or 2 who cost a fortune for doing nothing and then spending leftovers on people who would probably do it for free.

I like them both equally, but I hate that they are cutting this one short.
Should have this for 12/13 weeks then have a month off before starting the celeb one.
This has indeed been a great BB, plenty of people with attitude:joker:

See this is what i dont get CBB10 for me had the best selection of names ever. Current stars as well as some big british tv names.

Whod have ever thought wed see bette Lynch, Julian Clary and coleen nolan in the same big brother house.

Channel 5 have worked wonders with CBB and ive scertainly enjoyed the CBB on channel5 a lot more than the civilian.

Love CBB. I hate that they run it straight off the back of the civilian one though.
