I can't make out if he's just brutally honest with her, if he has her back or what? 'm confused. Nothing he says to her is designed to make her feel a bit better it's just always brutal honesty. lol

Hazel " can somebody explain to me why i'm a snake "
Dan "condescending tone and stroke " aw I don't know you're just a snake...for some reason"

Hazel "I'd rather go on friday if this is how people want to treat me"
Dan "I'd go too if I was you" No aw Hazel comeon don't let it get to you or anything lol. Plus he seemed to have a glint when he hugged her after they called her the other thing on the couch can't remember what it was.

I think he is a little confused why she is getting the bad quotes from the public.
He is there for her but his mind is working overtime.Maybe even not on the issue of why she gets a hard deal from the public but on something else.

He has probably forgotten that he has only heard Hazel's version of "The Truth According to Hazel" what he doesn't know is that the public are not buying it!

Dan has been a rock for all the housemates this year, a lovely genuine bloke

He's supposed to be her bestest mate yet he still turned around tonight and said "there's something not right about Hazel........like she's not real or something!"

He's so wrapped up in 'being right' about everything and figuring everything out that everything else takes a back seat, including his so-called friendships!

As much as i think it would be better for the show if Sophie went on Friday i can honestly still see it being Dan who goes.

The public hate her because of the 'Daley' thing.....she wasnt totally honest to Dan about it and he believed her. Consequently he is finding it hard to acknowledge this attitude towards her....other than suspecting that maybe she has been scarce with the truth and making him look an idiot.
I can see just where he is coming from...

With a friend like that you don't need enemies. I'm not sure what Dan's friendship with Hazel is really based on. Perhaps he just uses Hazel for physical comfort in the house and to be fair she does the same.

Dan genuinely likes her. He was gutted when he was up for eviction week #3, she dropped him for Daley and Dan was depressed.

Dan only cares about himself in there and will drop alliances at the drop of a few boos and remarks.

Hazel dropped Dan with no regret - stands to reason he will do the same to her - that's if he stays. It's a hard one to call this week...

Yep, I think they are probably both as bad as each other in that respect.

I think he will just scrape through this eviction.

He has never been one to shy off going to support or make sure someone who was upset was okay, hardly a totally selfish or bad act at all.

He has heard the get Hazel out chants and he knew the housemates were irritated at her and Daley but he stayed with her and was there when she wanted to confide in someone.

In the house in the main, they all should just care about themselves,I would in the BB house too.
However when a housemate has become unpopular that hasn't stopped Dan still asking if they are okay.

It clearly seems the rest of the housemates across the board don't see what those who simply don't like him are seeing and they live with him 24hours a day every day every week.
WE see the highlights, they see everything, yet had this twist this week still had the safe house immune, every one of the housemates would have been pleased that Dan was through to the 8th week, even Dexter.
That hardly shows Dan as a selfish, all for himself housemate at all.Since they all think that way too.

The thing I like about Dan is the fact that he can say negatives stuff about his friends as well. I would trust that kind of person when they would say something negative about me. I don't think it always friend job to sugarcoat things.

And Hazel, Hazel, Hazel, I've been thinking why I don't like Hazel that much. The obvious thing is how she acted with Daly, but it's not that, even before that I didn't like her that much. I mean, if some of the things she says were just written on a page, they'd sound alright, but something extra comes in when she lets it out of her mouth. Usually the Irish people get away with murder, so to speak, with me because of the accent but not Hazel. And then I pinned the reason into her expression and especially her eyes. Her facial expression doesn't change that much. She always look a bit, almost like challenging, her head is not totally upright but she always looks like from under her brows, I don't know the word for it. And her eyes are cold and piercing. That makes me never to trust her.

By the way, I worked in tourism with the Irish, and it is strange that usually they are able to say even negative stuff and people just laughed and thought it was a light-hearted joke whereas if I had said the same thing, people would have been appalled and thought I was rude. I always said it to tourists that they should not let the Irish get away that easy. :D

Absolutely, I do that with my friends, sometimes they don't like it but mostly end up appreciating I said it.
They will do so to me as well and that is exactly the kind of friends I would want.
They are your friends because of you, with your good and not so good side, and while building you up, will if the need arises pull you up about things too.
They are people I trust completely and really feel I can too.
