Ugh, here we go again. To be honest I don't think i'll care if he gets evicted anymore, his constant speculating and quizzing about EVERY. SINGLE. THING. is so annoying. :bored:

He was so convinced Wolfy was an actress. Completely offbeam
Has never interrogated Gina about her background, not suspicious of her at all - even of something as simple as the fact she never talks about her so-generous mother.
Doesnt seem to have the slightest suspicion that Dexter may not be an alpha maley playboy who can get any woman he wants!
Being paranoid doesn't make you a great detective in fact it probably gets in the way. If I was his inspector I would be suggesting he looks for an alternative occupation; in fact this may be what happened to him in the end in the police. I have a suspicion he was asked to leave.

gets on my nerves how he's always suspicious and analyses everything, wish he'd just enjoy the BB experience instead of trying to work things out the whole time.

That's exactly how i've always seen it when people say "Dan's always right about things".:bored:
It's like someone asking him what 2 + 1 is and Dan replying "is it 5, no 7, or 4, could be 3 or maybe it's 1" and his fans then say "see, he said it was 3!!! He's always right is Dan".
If you second-guess every single situation, statement, event or happening then it's going to seem like you get a lot of things right. His fans never point out all of the times when he guesses things incorrectly which happens as often, if not more often, than he gets things right!:nono:
He was right about Michael being an actor..... at the start of a new series called Big Brother >Secrets & Lies<. He was then absolutely convinced that Wolfy was an actor......WRONG! Then he was convinced Gina and Dexter were actors......WRONG! And his latest one is Hazel......WRONG!!!! I'm sure he even had brief suspicions about a few of the others but it's hard to remember because he's done it so much!
He's just nowhere near as smart as him or his adoring fans actually think he is, clearly!!! :nono::nono::nono:

Well said Kizzy, it isn't negative by the way,he is just good at it, pure and simple.
Not always completely right but usually more times than not on the right track with a basis to what he is thinking at least.

It's seen as a negative because it's Dan. Smart, good looking, popular in the house ex cop Dan with a great body and charisma to boot. I suspect it's mainly men who see his astuteness as negative. I may be wrong as I'm a man  but my wife, my daughter and all their friends love Dan but my son and some of my buddies don't like him. I tell them they are jealous.
If skinny little Dexter was sussing out everything like Dan is he would be applauded and worshiped for it. He's a game player - not real - so it doesn't matter what he does. Dan is too real and brings too much reality and sense to the show for comfort for some people.

The OTT abuse he gets baffles me compared to his so called crimes - being bitchy and sussing out a few twists
So it must be something. Even if it isn't jealousy.

as much as i kinda dislike dan his theories and his thoughts regarding tasks and secrets/lies are spot on,how the **** does he do it though
Because he always covers all bases.
In this instance he has a 50:50 chance of being right.
On day he says he is up for exiction and another day he says they might be safe.
So he is either safe or not.
He doesn't believe anything because he is looking for clues. The rest of the housemates just go with the flow.
I think deep down he's known all along but didn't want to say anything to Sam and Sophie. I noticed he looked down and has not been himself since they chose him.
He said something to that effect while they were still live to the house, along the lines of "what if it's a twist". As for tonight, at least 3 people mentioned the DR asking them how they thought Dan was dealing with his place in the rate the hm's lineup, and how odd it was that they were asked about Dan of all the people (as opposed to Hazel in last or Gina in first). If he caught wind of that, it probably bolstered his suspicions.

I agree. I noticed that too.

Have they had a proper red herring of nominations and a smokescreen list of who is supposed to be up?

Yes, I would like to see everything he's suspicious about so we'd know how many times he's wrong as well. His suspicions have really made him go to the background and we are only seeing his suspicious side now, nothing bubbly about Dan anymore.

He has, there has been a marked change of his mood since they chose him.
Far more subdued,I put it down to maybe he just enjoyed the space he had set himself in the main house and possibly Sam and Sophie were not the people he would have really been elated to be in the safe house with.
However ,when he said that last night,I felt as you did, that thought has maybe been gnawing at him since it was done.
He has looked very pre-occupied most of the time we have seen him since going in the safe house.

I think the change in Dan has happened a lot earlier. His downfall in my eyes is that he cannot let go of his suspicions. There's a lot about him that I like and I really feel he is a trustworthy person but with his suspicions, he's like a dog with a bone.
Dan puts a load of theories out there so one is bound to be right. Just because of his Police background, it is picked up on more than the other housemates saying such. Dexter made a point about the safe house being a kind of poisoned chalice first. As for Dan looking down, well wouldn't some of you if you were stuck in there with the dullards Sophie and Sam.

He is, it is not a fault necessarily but it is the way he is and has been in his previous job.
I relate to him because I am like a dog with a bone if I get a fixed thought or idea or susoicion too.
So if I was to moan at Dan for that,I would have to moan at myself too,or be hypocritical because I am just like him, I won't just leave things that niggle away at me and I go on and on about them.

Here are the cold, hard facts:
Calling BB "secrets and lies" meant that hm's were automatically going to be more skeptical of happenings. This was a huge mistake.
They have so many twists this series, that it's really not detective work to question absolutely everything that happens.
Dan is basically cold-reading the house - he throws so may theories out there, that people only remember the hits and forget the misses. Just like psychics.
Throw enough mud, and some of it will stick.

Plenty of people have raised suspicions about the safe house and immunity, someone said it other than Dan on the night Sophie and Sam were picked I think it might have been the Twins, Dexter has referred to the safe house not being so safe, Sophie mentioned something when she went into the safe house as well about hoping they were really immune, so obviously it has been discussed in the group, but Dan's DR is the only one that sticks in the mind as it is face to face with BB, so I guess that makes the Twins, Dexter and Sophie quite bright as well.
