If anybody likes or supports Sam could you please put a little synopsis of why you support him in this thread so that people stop accusing us of only liking him for the sympathy vote.

Many thanks,

I like him because he is a genuine, caring guy who has done a brave thing to air himself in front of the public in a house full of self obsessed egotists and last all this time without causing ridiculously staged controversy and cheap thrills.

He seems like a very nice, genuine guy but unfortunately that doesn't make a great HM and he just hasn't been entertaining to me

Vicky.

I dont mind sam, though I do think he would be a bad winner simply because he hasnt done much compared to others, hes been a supporting role throughout the series, not a main character. That may not be his fault though, but it how BB have decided to portray it. He seems to be quite different on LF to how he is in the HL show

Yeh that's totally fine but I think a lot of the Sam fans are looking for the genuine people in the house. It's probably a matter of personal taste on a deeper level.

Sam seems like a nice lad but in terms of bb he has been to quiet and not done enough! No way should he win in my opinion

Yeah that's fine too, people have different opinions on what they find entertaining and what they want from a winner and that should be respected imo

I like him because I like really genuine people.
I personally think only Hazel and Sam are genuinely what they portray, and Hazel just does not do it for me.

Not saying some of the others are not more entertaining than him, but I would not waste a penny of mine on them.

Absolutely.

I can have no qualms if Dexter wins because at the end of the day it all boils down to who the public prefers the most and I hope at the end of it all we can come out of this series with genuine humility and stop the bickering.

Yes! ... could every Sam fan please give us none fans clear examples of what Sam has done these past 5 weeks in the BB house that make him your worthy winner. PS: Please try to not use generic words like genuine, likeable and nice as we can easily apply those words to any other housemate. And using the disability card is a no no. thanks.

Just because he's a lovely lad that could use the money more than Gina and Dexter, who are going to give it to charity!...And apart from those two, I honestly do not think that any other housemate deserves to "win the money" more than Sam!... [ps..I say the money, because I believe that Dexter and Gina have already won the show...if you know what I mean?]

Cheers.

Many thanks,

Below is no mention of what he has done inside the BB house.

I like him because he is a genuine, caring guy who has done a brave thing to air himself in front of the public in a house full of self obsessed egotists and last all this time without causing ridiculously staged controversy and cheap thrills.

Now if you could kindly give us a list of things that Sam has actually done ON BB to make him your winner that would be nice. Thanks.

Kyle
26-07-2013, 02:43 PM
I know because you know that Sam has done absolutely nothing in the BB house.

I bolded the bits where I disagreed, which was that you could say anybody in the house was genuine or nice.

Very few in that house are anywhere near genuine and fewer still are nice people, the likeable thing is also open to interpretation because the only way Dexter or Gina can be likeable is through negative personality traits like manipulative or passive aggressive.

And I don't care if he has done nothing in the house, he is there, I like him more than the others therefore I want him to win.

Answered in my point below, I really don't get how some people don't like people having genuinely different opinions to others on here.

It's like it's a crime to like somebody who isn't a backstabbing sycophant.

Johnny, instead of venting your unpleasantness on every thread that includes Sam...why don't you tell us who you are supporting and give examples of how they deserve the crown [and dosh] more than Sam!? and perhaps I wont  everytime I come across your posts! :spin:

Brave for going in a house full of self obsessed egotists which is what I said.

Sam should win because....

When Sam was messing about with this HM with the water it was so funny etc..
When he fell into the pool and peed and the water turned purple. That was funny too!
When he cried after they took the puppy off him and used it to make a pie for dinner.

You've got no memorable moments to post about to even suggest that Sam should be on the program in the first place.

I voted for Rachel Rice and I would vote for Sam too. I want Sam to win because I don't think Callum can win and therefore by process of association I want Sam to win. I like him for the fact that he stayed loyal to Callum when everyone else turned on him. That showed a lot of courage. I also like Sam for his humor, he has made me laugh many times this series and that's an important thing. Finally, I like Sam because he's Welsh and it'd be nice to have another Welsh winner.

Yes indeed, let's settle this once and for all.

I have absolutely no problem with Sam as a person whatsoever. I think he's a really nice guy and I feel quite sorry for the way he seems to have struggled to fit into the group due to his hearing. In real life I think we'd probably get on, and he seems like the type of person that would make a good friend.

Unfortunately for him, this isn't real life...it's a TV show, and an entertainment one at that. And in terms of entertainment, storylines and talking points, he has contributed ****** all. If he were to win after he's sat on his arse all summer and done nothing worthwhile for the series, it'd be a total injustice.

Big Brother is also not a charity. Him needing the money and Gina not is irrelevant. If this were real life, and I was the secret millionaire, then sure, I'd give the money to Sam. But it's not real life, again...it's a TV show, and personal factors shouldn't come into it. Quite simply, the person who has defined the series and contributed the most, the person we'll be talking about when we remember this particular series, is the person that should win. In this case it should be Dan, Gina and Dexter as the final three.

Exactly , also he is not in my opinion doing much to show deaf kids etc you can do anything it should not hold you back , he is struggling and cannot follow conversations , being partially deaf is making his time in the house particularly difficult, if you like him maybe you should have done more to try and evict him.:xyxwave:

Sam is big enough to decide whether or not it is too much for him. If he decides tonight he wants to leave, mulls it over during the night and goes tomorrow morning then fair enough I will not have lost a single bit of respect for him.

But that's his choice, if he stays then good for him I will continue to back the lad until I see otherwise.

It makes me feel uncomfortable watching him bless him and I am not a fan of his.

I'm sorry you feel like that but he has expressed little desire to pack it in and especially at this late stage in the show.

Why didn't you tell us this a month ago?

Sam is genuine, easy on the eyes and SECOND ONLY TO QUEEN GINA with the hilariously quotable lines.

If he were given more of a chance to interact in the house he'd have them all in stitches.

Im sorry but I don't think he would ever have me in stitches , easy on the eye?um no I don't think so his face reminds me of Dopey from the seven dwarfs.

I suppose one with a Dumbo avatar would see a Disney-related likeness.

:yes, I agree, he's seems a nice, genuine chap but he just hasn't done it for me, he bores me and I wouldn't want someone boring to win BB, it would take it back to the Cameron win, that was the worst BB ever and looking back I don't know why I watched it to the end. Perhaps you personally aren't supporting him for the sympathy vote but I do think perhaps some are. Saying all that, I respect your right to support Sam, this is a discussion site but sometimes it gets turned into a battleground, quite ridiculous some of the aggressive posts I've seen on here and all over a TV gameshow...crackers innit :conf3:

Comes across as a nice guy but hasn't had much air time so hasn't really entertained me much.

Certainly is Tozzie. We all have our favourites and for our own reasons which are all totally valid.

Good post, if only there was a like button.:thumbs:

I like him because he's genuine, has a sense of humour and is a general nice guy... I see nothing to dislike in him as a person. Not the most exciting housemate, sure, but he's a nice person to watch in amongst a sea of self-absorbed, opportunist, argumentative arseholes. He's also quite often the funniest on live feed.

I don't watch live feed but that's a few people now that have said he is good on that. Good to know thanks.

I've thought just about all the way through that Sam is boring but I must admit I loved his reaction to the Brown E thing, he was laughing his head off whilst all the other housemates were looking dismayed, he really was hilarious and showed he has a good sense of humour.
