I think it's been the best BBs channel 5 have done so far. The first few looked like channel 5 pulled up outside a nightclub and bundled a load of people in a van and took them to the house.

I agree, and I think people are only putting it near the top because it's current and on their minds. Ask this again in a couple of years and no one will be listing BB14 near the top. It's been really, really poor.

It peaked around week 3 or 4 when previous years have only just been finding their stride around that point - usually the peak is 2 or 3 weeks before the finale. This series has been dragging along like an arthritic Labrador since Dexter and Gina left the safehouse.

I mean really - can anyone listing it high actually give good reasons? Anything big that's happened to make it good? Any genuine relationships or even genuine fights? What makes it compelling? There's really nothing at all. Boring twins making boring jokes, a boring fake love triangle, a boring gay detective figuring out all of the boring twists before they get a chance to bore us. It's so completely unmemorable, I doubt I'll be able to name half of the housemates this time next year.

Last year was infinitely better, and it wasn't as good as BB12. I swear even BB11 was marginally better. The only one that was WORSE is BB4, and even it has some comfortable nostaligia on its' side.

I've left 1 out because I can't place it; it was obviously a classic and was amazing at the time but it was very "different" to any that came after it... more experiment, less gameshow. Ultimately a much "slower" show than any that followed though.


But yeah... 14 has sucked. Maybe it'll inexplicably pick up in the next few weeks but I highly doubt it, it seems dead in the water long before it's finished. I think more people will realised that it really did suck when they can look back on it as a "whole" series. Nothing interesting, surprising, or anything other than entirely predictable has happened so far. Dan has guessed all of the twists - why? Because he's a gay, less attractive Dr Mark Sloan? No! It's because the twists have been rubbish and obvious.

ANYONE who has BB2 (of all the talk of overrated series, this one might be the most simply because it's "a classic") above BB1, and has BB1 near the bottom really needs to reevaluate that.
