View Full Version : The next twist - thoughts?

So...anyone got any predictions as to what this next twist will be, the fact Emma didn't reveal it on the live show was strange but she alluded to it being something that'll involve 'twist and turns all week' (or words to that effect).

She then seemed very excited on BOTS and all she said was 'something massive is happening'

Now I don't want to get my hopes up cause it's usually ruined with this sh*tty production team but as a superfan herself her reaction has intrigued me :suspect: is it going to be another pile of sh*t or will it actually be decent?

I have a feeling it's going to involve money

Bored to death with these "twists" now, no doubt it will impact upon nominations..which they can never get right.

A new housemate or three entering.
Way too late, there's only 3 weeks left.

my husband keeps saying get another hm in, I don't want them to though. If a new hm went on to win BB that would be unfair.

See Emma was just reeling off names of who she thinks will be up though without any problem, she didn't refuse to answer the question so maybe it won't mess with noms and surely if it will she wouldn't have answered anyway because then she could be giving something away?

I hope it's a bit more inventive

Confusing them on when the show actually ends, making them think that they have longer than they do...not sure how they would play that one out though.

Its a sign of a crap series when they feel the need to constantly mess with things.

Prize fund twist again.

I think it will be prize money twist. Make them play a game and lose and all the money to have gone, so they think there is no prize or that the prize money has increased but is a lie or that one of them wins the prize money but they actually havent (so heartless but great)?

If it's gonna be money related I hope it's actually a decent amount for once

I would LOVE them to make the prize fund £1m one day but obviously it's way out of their budget

omg imagine if they pretended to give £1m to a housemate in a twist but like Ben suggested it was a lie :joker: that really would be the biggest twist of all time

Its like now that it doesn't matter who nominated. because they may not be the ones that are up to go. or the ones with the less nominations are up.. GOD KNOWS. but when it comes down to money that what really shakes things up

I've got a bad feeling that you could be correct about a prize-fund twist Jack! It's about that time!!!
Conor last year.........maybe they'll give it to the bloody twins or Callum this year. If either of those two walk off with half of the money i'd be abso-*****ing-lutely FUMING!!!!

Yeah, I agree. The way she hyped that it was massive sounds prize money related.

But this "twist and turns all week" makes me think of the Halfway House. That depending on winning tasks, housemates will be moving in and out of the safe house all week and whoever's left in there on Wednesday are immune or something.

But I really hope the safe house is officially closed now. Nice idea that I'm glad they got full use of, instead of ignoring it after a few days but it's time it stopped.

Well that's bollocks.

1. Look at BB7 - Your post makes perfect sense for that series, yes. However..

2. BB7 didn't promote itself with the tagline Secrets and Lies, so the producers CLEARLY had the majority of their twists planned out well in advance for this series before it even begun - so the amount of twists and turns reflects nothing to do with the actual performance of this series.

I hate prizemoney twists

Though I think it could be quite good to pretend there is no longer a prize fund(eg, tell them Dan got the choice to take it or something)..since pretty much everyone in there has said they dont care about the money. See how much they really dont care ;)

Dexter and Gina get 25k each for their contribution to the show.

I don't mind prize fund twists so long as they're good, i.e:

BB6 with Eugene - take 50k and half the prize fund, leave it and double it (though he didn't know that)

The White Room was good for what it was worth, I was surprised how well they executed it actually but the £50k should've been extra money not out of the prize fund

But then if the twist is like...

BB8 and the housemates having to give someone a random £100k (Liam) :yuk:

then no...easiest win of £100k ever in the DULLEST twist of all time

I wouldnt mind money twists if it was ADDITIONAL money. Its when its taken out of the fund that I dislike it and dont think its fair at all on whoever ends up winning.

I said this the other day on here, they should seriously just do what they did in BB10 and display the prize fund on a monitor in the living area one morning.

Start it off at £0 and tell them they can win chunks of it part over the next two/three weeks by taking part in huge personal tasks.

The tasks themselves, will be horrendous - and permanent, and the more harsh they are, the more the housemates will win back.

e.g - Call Jack and Joe to the Diary Room, tell them they could win £5K of the prize fund back right there and then, if they agree to leave the house on their eviction night wearing 'Thing 1 and Thing 2' outfits, similar to how Siavash had to do I think.

Another, more sever task would be to offer £45K of the prize fund upfront, back to the housemates - if one of them gets the Big Brother Eye tattooed on their arm.

Offer £2K if Dexter and Callum agree to be chained together for the rest of their time in the house etc etc

Things like that - it would tear the house apart, and completely shake the last few weeks up.

Then, on the finale night - when the winner eventually comes out, Big Brother just reveals that the prize fund never went anywhere and was and still is, £100,000 - so everything the housemates did, was in vain and they never had to do any of it.

only money twist I've liked was when Lisa and Sara got to play a grand version of Goldenballs... was so satisfying when they agreed to share it, because they were my two favourite housemates  such a shame it meant one of them had to go :(

That was a decent twist in principle actually but probably the wrong two housemates to do it

I would pay good money to see Callum and Dexter face off in that twist

uuugh I can just see Callum playing the martyr (oh god I've picked up a Dan observation) and going for "share".

edit: wow ok so i hate callum now (that would literally be dexter being selfish and greedy, and I'd take it out on callum? LOL)

I could actually imagine the conversation:

Callum: ...wow look, Dex, I really think we should just split this, I know we've had our differences but we both deserve this, please don't steal from me Dex, you wouldn't do that would you? Cause I think you're better than that

Dexter: Look mate, at the end of the day...we don't get on, but I'm man enough to admit that I don't need the money, so you should have it. So I'll choose split and then you choose steal.

Callum: Are you sure Dex? You split too, I want this to be fair

Dexter: Callum just pick steal, I'm going to split, I don't need the money

I don't think Callum would fall for it though

I actually want to see this happen now :bawling:

I wouldnt mind money twists if it was ADDITIONAL money. Its when its taken out of the fund that I dislike it and dont think its fair at all on whoever ends up winning.

It was almost like it was done last year out of spite or something!
It seemed very clear that they were doing everything they could to try and prevent Aaron from winning and there was the whole hiding 'freezergate' from us and them getting annoyed that so many viewers were complaining to OFCOM about Conor not being dealt with.

I'm sure the White Room thing was planned all along but i reckon the £50,000 was originally intended to be extra cash but because it looked like Aaron was unbeatable (it was no doubt even clearer to them as they could see just what huge percentages of the VTS Aaron was getting!) and he WAS going to win they thought they'd give half of his cash to his (and our) worst enemy, Conor the *****!

I liked the Eugene cash twist but also thought that the Liam one was just the most ridiculous things that they ever came up with. To use such a boring and unfair twist to give away £100 grand to was such a waste of a great opportunity! They could have come up with a much better twist to decide who got that cash.

It would kill me to see someone like the twins, Callum or Sophie walk away with a large chunk of cash! :(

Hmm. You seem to be mixing up bb12 and bb13 in your post, numerous times, even mixing them into the same series. Buy yes, I understand what you mean :p

It could be money related but I really hate when BB messes with that, wasn't it enough to see the dreadful Connor getting away with 50k last year, hope it's all of them up on a double eviction.

The prize money is £0 and for Tue,Wed,Thur and Fri each day there is a Hard task like they did in BB5 with the prize money task's like with the roundabout they pass the hard task then they get £25,000 if they don't then they don't get £25,000 and the task's won't be easy.

Exactly this...

If for instance the twins won half of the prize fund they would carry on being over-indulged and not have learned anything from the experience...
