Do we think its safe to say this series may have secured the shows future at 5 for a few more years at least. The ratings are soaring, reviews are brilliant.
Its the cornerstone of Channel 5's lineup.

Lets not go overboard the ratings aren't soaring.
They are slowly increasing.

I think the only thing safe to say is that the increased live feed has given the rag tabloid publications a bit more to get their teeth into which can only be a good thing for the show.
I hope the free advertising the live feed gives the show is taken into consideration when its cost is questioned.

Looking more likely Endemol can be confident of getting decent bids when the contract comes up for renewal.
However there are still 3 (?) series of BB+CBB to go before renewal.
So a little early to say it is 100% secure.

Is anything safe these days?
That said I do hope it continues and the viewers start coming back.

It's not really about viewers coming back - anyone who watched BB7 etc consistently has moved on and grown up. It's about attracting new viewers.

oh dear, do you think once people reach a certain age they should stop watching BB? I've been watching Big Brother since it started all those years ago, love it as much today as I did then and can't ever imagine not watching it as long as its on. Perhaps I need to grow up, naaaa, sod that lark I like being young, in mind if not in body!!!

To add to the (slightly) improved ratings. I've seen far more people talking about the show this year and the press has increased slightly. Hopefully Channel 5 bosses will see that the show has got a bit more life in it and they will renew it after next year.

I hope so, I see no reason for Channel 5 not to be happy with it since going on that channel.

I started warching BB on the first week of series 1. I remember the first eviction. I remember logging on to the internet live feed for the first time, and that was on dail-up, not broadband. I remember the first time BB really messed up and forgot to switch off the loudspeaker for Darrens nominations.
I have watched every series of BB and CBB. And I will continue to watch it for as long as it is on.
Lets keep those ratings up!

Of course not, don't be silly.
I mean the show itself - has changed, it attracts a different audience.
Back in 2006, it was aimed at an adult audience primarily, now they aim it at a teenage audience. Which is a shame if you ask me.

My mum and gran still watch the show now and both are really enjoying this series.
So there's some hope out there...:D
