On LF a few minutes ago he reeled off some of his qualities (he left out modesty) and he said he was funny.?
Really. :conf:

I don't think we've had much of a chance to see his fun side tbh.

But he's so serious, all the time, and he can't take a joke...not much scope for being funny there.

Callum has funny mannerisms rather than coming out with funny things.

I only recall laughing at Callum once and that was when he was doing that strange dance :elephant:

I think if I was in a houseful of people who whispered abot me constantly and my attempts to be friendly were characterised as 'creepy' and 'too nice' I'd be unlikely to be on my best and most relaxed form.
Also, I think he likes the idea of being the wise counsellor and has got a little too caught up in that role. Unsuccessfully sadly :p

Strange is the biggest quality ive come to associate with him.

Do you really believe that's it's his attempts to be friendly that are seen as 'creepy'? That is far from the truth.
I guess you don't read posts that explain why people think he is creepy. :conf:

Yeah, is it possible he meant funny as in strange?

In a way, yes. I think he attempts to be friendly by being the wise counsellor to people. Unfortunately this comes across as way too intense and a little bit weird.
He seems to have difficulty reading social cues, and indeed reading people. He expresses himself in a clumsy and over exaggerated way and cannot understand why people don't take his attempts at kindness/friendliness at face value. So he tries even harder...which makes him seem even more strange and alien.

He is very very funny in a non intentional, dry, self deprecating and non obvious way. He's not Benny Hill.
It doesnt suprise me that a lot of BB fans don't get it.
I would bet that anybody who is a fan of shows like the office find him hilarious.

He's a Michael Scott clueless, unhinged sort complete with an obsessive fixation/crush on a male co-worker?

I'm talking about the UK original series. The Americans have a similar hard time understanding humour unless its slapstick, as some BB fans.

No - watch the live feed video, about half way through. After he spends a half hour browbeating Charlie, hushing her and shaming her for daring to nominate him, he walks away, gets called to the DR, and does this ham handed attempt at "acting" like he's being pulled into the bathroom by a monster. Nobody notices, nobody reacts, but he thinks he's the life of the party.
