Day 48: Callum takes trash talk too far

Earlier this evening, Cowboy Callum faced his nemesis, Dexter the Devious, in an epic battle of steadiness that we called the 'Flinch Off', which saw the competitive Cowboy crowned victorious and the House win 25 per cent of the budget.

But before the drama unfolded in the ring, the real battle was fought behind the scenes in the dressing room, as the duo took full advantage of the time alone to trash talk each other. Callum in particular went all guns blazing, letting Dexter know exactly what he thought of him.

However, reflecting in the bedroom after the challenge, Callum confessed that he may have over-stepped the mark.

"I know I went off the deep end... but that's how I feel. That's how I react when I feel someone is being condescending," he said.

The man on the receiving end of his tongue-lashing had similar thoughts.

"It just astonishes me that someone would go that deep," Dexter told Hazel.

It seems a few truths have been aired today that won't help the Dexter/Callum relationship. Even though Callum has vowed to apologise to Dexter later this evening, we have a feeling this won't be brushed aside in a hurry.

Dexter should admit he does everything he does to torture Callum, because Callum devotes hours of every day thinking of ways to annoy Dexter and guessing what Dexter will do next. Dan was his bestest buddy ever and they had an understanding, because he invented a backstory to explain away all the reasons Dan didn't like him.

Big Brother bosses are reportedly monitoring Callum Knell after an “aggressive” outburst last night.



Callum was seen clashing with Jackie in the garden in front of the other housemates after she barged in on his discussion about her daughter Charlie.

But when Callum seemed to lose it, Jackie told the group: “I would worry about someone like that.

“You don’t know where that kind of behaviour will lead.”

And a worried Jackie explained: “No-one’s ever spoken to me like that before, it’s his eyes, he is an aggressive man, aggressive as hell.

“I will not put up with it. The only reason he stopped it was because he was on TV.

“The sort of guy that gets aggressive like that is not worth it. He’s aggressive towards me – I’d be terrified of him if I was his wife.”

Speaking in the Diary Room later, Callum complained: “Embarrassed. Frustrated. Upset and generally not good enough. Jackie does not feel that I am good enough for her daughter. She has only had 4 ½ weeks with me so what is she basing that on, my appearance. My appearance isn’t good enough for her daughter.”

He later went to speak to Charlie alone, telling her away from Jackie: “I don’t feel like I went about it the wrong way but if I was aggressive I didn’t mean to be…you are a knockout you will go places.

“I can’t convince you…hopefully one day I will sweep somebody off their feet. Just do your own thing. Top bird. Top bird. I mean that. I never looked at you once and thought ‘I am going to pull that.’ I looked at you and thought ‘wow’. The more I talked to you and the more I got to know you I saw you didn’t see the wow yourself.”

Yeah Callum certainly didn't do himself any favours imo...

It's not because he doesn't get on with Dexter, we all know they don't like eachother. But he was just so smug and went out of his way to initiate that. Callum is FAR more bothered about Dexter then Dexter is about Callum, and that was downright rude. It's one thing to discuss the situation and your opinions about someone to others in the house, or to do it face to face and be respectful about it, keeping in mind that not everybody has to get along, but Callum literally went out of his way to rip into Dexter's character, like he's a perfect angel or something.

I think this all boils down to Charlie once again. It's obvious Callum has a complex over her, and it really annoys him that her and Dexter get along. It bothers him immensely it seems. On the flip side, I really don't think Dexter cares at all that sometimes Charlie and Callum get along well, and he shouldn't as its really none of his business anyways.
