Big Brother: Dexter gets warning over controversial words to Callum

Posted on 31 Jul 2013 at 1:13am

Last night housemates Hazel and Jack were making pancakes for their fellow housemates, but amongst the pigging of pancakes a new argument formed between Dexter and Callum in the living area.

Callum told Gina and Sam that he has been left felt worthless due to the constant clashes with Dexter over the last few weeks.

A shocked Gina asked Callum why he felt in this way, his reply was an intellectual battle with Dexter has resulted him feeling in this manner. He goes on to tell Gina that Dexter has repeatedly winked at him, blown him kisses and asked for hugs, in which Callum says Dexter does this ‘to get into his mind’.

Callum later brought up a conversation he and Dexter had weeks ago, where Dexter apparently said “I’d bend you down and stick it in you”. Callum told his housemates that he took offense to this, Dexter didn’t deny saying it but says he cannot remember saying this but it is probably something he would say.

Dexter backs himself up saying, it’s just a phrase he used and Callum is taking it to another level, twisting the words in his favor.

Hazel told Dexter to stop and leave since the argument was getting nowhere and it could easily get out of hand.

Hazel and Jack agreed with each other in the kitchen area that Callum was trying to get Dexter into trouble.

Dexter was called to the diary room where he was warned not to bring the conversation up again and to go to bed.

Callum was then called to the diary room to have a chat with Big Brother.

Housemates Sophie, Jack & Joe, Hazel, and Charlie later went to the diary room to discuss the Dexter and Callum issue. During their time in the diary room, Callum sat on the kitchen counter talking to himself.

Looks like both Dexter and Callum got told off. Neither of them has had a formal warning though.

I don't think this is definite and it wasn't a formal warning it doesn't look like, they've just worked out from what we've all just seen on live feed that he was told not to bring up the conversation again, as was evident from his chat with Sam

if he felt offended he needed to say it there and then 2 weeks ago. You cant expect people to take Callum seriousely when he brings it up 2 days before eviction after the task that he went over the top on Dexter hate. He is just trying to get Dexter kicked off the show by whatever means possible because he knows the public love Dexter and will eventually vote Callum out !!!

If callum really wanted big brother to take action he would of said it there and then. But that's whats been burning him inside.
But im going to be fair and say Callum's is an idiot for adding the bend over bit.
But dexter is also a plonker for saying i will stick it in you.

To reveal the real reason why he got personal with dexter in the task.
If someone i dislike walks past me blowing kisses at me or whatever and also winds me up. I dont care if its in the big brother house, i would literally finish that person. Unless its a woman. Cause i dont hit women. But I would literally blow.

Seems to me like BB only decided to warn Dexter as soon as Callum decided that it was offensive...

All because of Callum's obsession with - and Dexter's liking for - Charlie. {sigh}

MatthewS

It's one thing to blow kisses or ask for hugs from someone who doesn't like you. It's another to rip into them personally during during a task and them play the victim card over a comment made two weeks ago. They both don't like eachother. Fair play. I'm sure they both make passing comments/gestures to eachother, but their is a line. Callum crossed it today and is now in damage control it seems. But instead of just manning up and saying he took it too far, he's playing the victim card.

Perhaps this is all game play on Callums part and he knows exactly what he's doing?

Not entirely convinced Callum was as pissed as he was making out for the cameras, when he was on his own in the kitchen.

But yes, BB will have to review what was actually said. It could be argued that saying "I will stick it in you" is actually more threatening than "I'll bend you over and stick it in you". The former could refer to a knife!

Threatening to RAPE someone - even in jest - is not on!
When I was young, an older friend of mine (a guy) threatened to rape me as a joke.
Although it was just just a joke, I felt very disturbed by it.
Dexter probably is bisexual and thos winks and kisses he blows probably are sexual in nature.
So fair play to BB. Its good to see them not using a double-standard for once.

About Callum

An engaging and confident ladies’ man, Callum claims that others in the house would get annoyed by his “very good looks” as all the attention will be on him. He likes an argument but doesn’t like very religious or overly camp gay people. He’s cheeky and admits to never saying sorry as he never regrets anything – and calls himself “the full package”.

Callum currently works as a children’s football coach. He really enjoys it because of all the attention and praise he receives from the parents. Callum started his professional life as a lifeguard and did the job for four years whilst at school and university. During this job he claims to have saved nineteen people’s lives – but that’s not it – Callum has saved other people’s lives outside of the job – making it a total of 28 lives saved. He admits that part of the reason he does it is for the praise and attention. He likes to be a hero.He is very opinionated and says there is nothing better than having a good argument. He believes his ‘trump card’ is his intelligence and says he can often belittle people with his words.

Whilst coaching in America, he ended up sleeping with a mother and daughter and thinks this gives him serious “man points”. Callum isn’t looking for love in the house but says he is definitely looking to ‘crack on’ with someone.

A comment from the YouTube Page "If you watch what actually happened between Callum and Wolfy, you'll realise that it was nothing like this dramatic retelling. It was more of a conversation than an argument, and I don't think a single swear word was used. Half of this is pure fabrication. Callum told his housemates that he took offense to this, Dexter didn’t deny saying it but says he cannot remember saying this but it is probably something he would say.

And people say Callum is weird. If a guy subjected a woman to this kind of verbal abuse he would have been removed from the house. It sounds like Dexter is a very twisted individual. Whoever did the psychological testing of the HMs should be fired. Along with whoever is allowing this mental case to stay in the house. This will not end well.

I've heard callum say things like, 'why you blowing kisses ' wondered who he meant, it did seem designed to rile callum....

I have noticed Dexter goes out of his way at times to belittle and wind up Callum.

BB should act at the time things occur definitely but it is clear to me that Callum does keep things in his head and he smoulders rather than explodes about things that upset, annoy or even infuriate hm.
That is not the best way at times to deal with issues as they are likely to surface n the future.

It is clear Callum and Dexter don't like each other,Jay and Aaron for instance didn't in BB12 and Jay told lots of lies as to Aaron, also Jay did a few things we didn't learn about for weeks after the event.

From what we know of this so far, it would seem Dexter hasn't denied saying it but that he cannot recall saying it.
Well, sorry but he should know what he has said and hasn't.
If he did say it, then he is way out of order, it is a threat of assault and had he said it to a Female housemate he would have been absolutely, rightly, pilloried on here.

We will have to wait and see but if Dexter cannot prove he didn't say it and BB must have the recording where he did then Dexter is 100% wrong as to this.
Just as would Callum be if he were making it up,which in the light of Dexter's apparant sidestepping ,I doubt Callum is wrong.

Dexter has little problem recalling what others have said,I doubt very much he has problems knowing what he has too.

Vicky.

Dexter gets warning over controversial words to Callum

Both of these guys are off key. The fact that Dexter can't deny what Callum says he said just tells me that he is crossing boundaries in that house. Winking at Callum and all that crap would get Dexter a first class trip to hospital with many men. Callum is loosing it in that house with Dexter goading him.

Callum will leave that house in a straight jacket if this continues

Looks like both Dexter and Callum got told off. Neither of them has had a formal warning though.

Is there any video of it yet?

It should be in the HLs. But it won't be!! :joker:

Edit: on second thoughts, having looked at some spoilers, it might just be included!

This is getting beyond silly. Here we have a task going on where BB are actively encouraging HM's to say really nasty things to each other and at the same time BB are then warning Dexter about saying nasty things to Callum...How can that be? Either BB disapprove of nasty things being said or they don't. Past or present - where's the line of fair play?

One minute Callum is telling Dexter "You aren't getting into my head with your gameplaying and the next thing is he says is Dexter has made him feel worthless (for the past 2 weeks!) with his game playing...

Which one is it Callum?

Rewatching what happened - has anyone ever been given a warning by taking themselves to the DR rather than BB calling them to the DR? Dexter went on his own, but the articles keep saying he was "given a warning" as if he was called in for a formal. All Dexter said later was that he was told to stop bringing it up. Then they called Callum in and told him to drink water and sober up.
