During his rant, after saying 'at the very least you meant X'...Callum followed this with at the most you meant you wanted to 'homosexually assault me'

With them cutting Callum off (purposely as they cut it to something else instead of finishing the sentence) it now looks like Dexter was pissed off about nothing :bored:

Nice one BB. Out of context yet again.

Mind I am glad they showed Callum lying about the 'bend me over' part..

Dexy is a savvy guy, as a gay guy myself i wouldn't touch Callum

Indeed. I wonder why though :S

All the other lies weren't shown aswell, like how Dexter "Blows kisses" and "winks" at Callum.

A reasonable facsimile would do.

So Callum was lying? Did they show it on the main show?

Vicky.

It never is like the live feed.

But they could at least try and represent the whole story.

There is NO excuse for cutting of a sentence halfway through For the sake of the extra 5 seconds it would have took to let him finish it?

They wasted 40 minutes with those idiotic "Tasks"

H said Dexter said he would stick it in him. The when that didnt get too much of a response, he repeated it again with the 'bend me over' part.

It's a piss take. Making Dexter seem to have a complete strop over nothing.. if you're going to show a story, show both sides fully, or don't bother at all.

I didn't watch last night but imo from the HL Callum still looks by far the worst (and i had no strong opinions really for either before tonight)

It's confirmed Callum is their chosen one this year.

He would have been toast instead of Hazel had they shown the full story.

I wouldnt have been to happy with that though as I want the twins out. But I would rather Callum left than Hazel

Well at least Sam believes him! It was interesting to see Callum tell Sam about Dexter's 1,000 women jibe and how that was the only thing that Sam threw back at Dexter saying he KNEW it would upset Callum. Good one Sam, nice to see how you've swallowed all of Callum's bullcrap.

There is NO excuse for cutting of a sentence halfway through For the sake of the extra 5 seconds it would have took to let him finish it?They do it all the time. For instance, hate to bring it up again, but the argument on Sunday night was terribly edited. I dont get it cuz the producers are constantly telling us that they have to condense the day in to an hour an how ofetn is difficult to do blah blah blah. They should cut out a couple of minutes of the HM's talking about the task and give fair representation of discussions that occur . They spent way too long with the wrestlers IMO.

The most damming thing in the whole episode came out of Dexters own mouth when he repeated and thus reinforced what he had originally said to Callum with his don't **** with me rant..

Vile little cretin.

There's also obviously more stuff that he's said to Callum as well that Sam was going about that we haven't seem, Sam kept saying... You know how you've upset him, Dexter tried to talk over him to shut him down but Sam repeated it.

As others have mentioned, cutting the worst part made Dexter look like he overreacted.

Callum got off lightly. Still looked like a twat though. Especially his 30 second trash talk where he warned Dexter off talking about his family :conf:

Thats all well and good, but nothing to do with the OP at all...

Any idea why they would purposely chop Callums sentence off halfway?

I agree, they didn't show half of how he was on live feed. I feel uncomfortable watching him "perform".

I don't think it made Dex look like he overacted. I do think Callum had a point about Dex belittling and looking down on him. But Dex looked genuinely angry and for good reason. To me, both of them seemed to have good reason to be upset with the other.

Yeah when Callum started that "at the very least.." sentence I thought 'ah good they will show the "homosexual assault" comment' but then they cut him off :bored:

I don't think it's a case of favouritism or anything though, I think they just have to be extra careful given the connotations of what Callum said, it was bordering on an accusation of a threatened rape

Hmm maybe

I think its quite unfair to show Dexter (rightly)reacting strongly to a comment that wasnt shown though. Made him out to be making something out of nothing.

I don't watch LF but I knew there was obviously more to it and clearly Callum was trying to make it sound much worse than Dexter would have said it.

Love or hate Dex he's very articulate and wouldnt take it as far as Callum pretended it went.

No I think it is Sam and with good reason. When Sam took on Dexter about what he said to Callum.
He was so right because Dexter did know what he was saying was hurtful.
Some people seem to think you can say what you like as long as you laugh while you are saying it.

Sam has the best character of all the housemates. About time BB showed more of him.

Maybe they didn't want to be flooded with complaints or something? They didn't show Dexters warning either so that balances is out a little anyway

Niamh.
01-08-2013, 08:45 AM
Saying that though, I don't think Dexter should be warned for something he said weeks ago (and tbh he doesn't even seem to remember saying it himself) Just because now him and Callum have had a big argument Callum has suddenly decided he was threatening to sexually assault him

What warning would this be? He only got told to go to bed.

It doesn't balance it out at all. Its bloody ridiculous to only show half of the story.

Salvs thread puts it much better than mine has though, and points out exactly how shoddy the editing was last night.

I'll only say I agree with you as to that,I think it is much more likely the reason they cut him off.

I saw the same post yesterday but I think the wording in the press release was incorrect - he was "warned" ie told to drop the argument and go to bed by BB. I think if he had got a warning it would have been shown last night but really there was nothing to warn him about. That's my take on it anyway.

Ah ok, thanks for that
