I'm not making a hate thread here but just wondering if Dexter and his mannerisms any others?
Also, I'm like the only person who like Gina without liking Dexter. It's not like they're a package deal anyway.

No you're not the only one who likes Gina more. I really like Gina but started to dislike Dexter quite a bit once he left the safe house and started this farcical story about suddenly having feelings for Charlie, and I felt he just started licking all the 'cool gangs' arses and for no reason seemed to turn on once friend Callum calling him names and pretending he hated seeing Callum with Charlie.
I don't think he has any romantic feelings for Charlie and either A. made it up for a storyline or B. really does dislike Callum and did it just to wind him up in a competitive way which is very mean spirited if true.
I was almost buying his on a journey and deep down a very insecure nice guy who just wants to be liked act until he started doing all of the above. Now I don't know if I can trust any part of his emotions/personality or which parts are real.
I don't hate him though. I really like watching him and Gina being playful together, and he also has a good intellectual bond with Hazel. I would like him more if he spent more time chatting with these two and less with Charlie. And if the rowing between himself and Callum stopped.

Mostly only Callum fans get annoyed by Dexter because they hate him so much but they're contrarians.

Love Dexter!!!!!
He's the most interesting character in there this year as far as i'm concerned.
He's obviously not your average, Mr.Normal type of person and that's why he appeals to me. Individualism is a great thing and makes for far more interesting people i find. Individuals are remembered whereas sheeple just blend into the masses and are easily forgotten.
It's also the reason that most of the housemates targeted him and singled him out from day one.

Gina's kinda alright but Dexter just annoys me. He has treated Callum like a piece of **** for weeks on end. Him saying he wanted to rip Callum's face in the counselling task was downright disgusting. Nevermind his petty power play with the biscuits in that task or his pettiness with the glass breaking showdown vs Callum.
Practically nothing he does is real. 95% of what he says isn't real. He tells Charlie he fancies her when all he wants is to get more airtime with a fauxmance. He mouths **** about having to nominate ruining his whole day. HAH! I'm sure! The only time he's shown real joy is when he has power. If he's a pick-up coach I'll get a frickin sex change!! I can definitely see him as a winning poker player though. He practically never displays emotions and is a very glib liar.
I've been a victim of bullying and their greatest weapon is the belittling joke. All the cool kids laugh and hey it's all just a bit of harmless fun. Unless you're the target. Then you feel about 3 inches tall. If you don't like someone and they don't like you and you are constantly making jokes at their expense it's NOT 'all in jest'. It's petty and vindictive.

Dexter was my favourite since week 1 but now I cant stand him, smug little git. Probably my least favourite now (same happened with BB12 Aaron, I have no trouble turning my support away if a HM becomes an arse).

I actually didn't give two hoots about Callum until Dan and the gang started ripping into him. Dexter of course picked up on this and took everything others were saying about him and turned it into a mantra. Seeing Callum as an outcast he wasted no time in turning on him and abusing him any way he thought he could get away with. He must have been delighted to have someone lower on the totem pole than him to ridicule.

Dexter was being victimised for the for the first 6 weeks much worse than Callum is supposedly being treated now. The fact you say Dexter picks on him is laughable, it's the ither way round & then Callum plays the victim. When Dexter was being victimised he took it as constructive criticism, Callum on the other hand feels the need to tell others that Dexter makes him feel worthless and lies about things Dxter has meant to say about him like yesterdays HLs when Callum said " you talk about my family " and Dexter has never once mentioned his family. He's a moron and a cringy one at that. He'll be gone friday.

A really excellent post.
I have cooled towards him I admit but if things turned around as to your last paragraph, he could be popular with me again.
I never bought this Charlie admiration, I later thought it was done only to wind up Callum which has created one of the most tedious false romances in BB history unfortunately.
For me that is near as bad to use Charlie in that way as it is for the way Charlie is now in effect playing them both.
I keep saying it, they both will look back with regrets as to the Charlie affair once out of the house.
Far too much time wasted by them, letting her use them and for them winding each other up as to the issue too.

Little things really annoy me about Dexter. When he eats and talks at the same time, it grates on my nerves, also his aloofness is misplaced and he cant seem to carry the smart guy image off with any credibility. He walks like a seasoned queen and he has a very high impression of his own popularity. He reminds me of an old time spiv that used to sell ciggies and cup final tickets to scratch a living, when in reality, he is little more than an uncuscessful paparazzi pretending to be a playboy but cant carry it off.

In answer to your question................YES, very much so.
People shout about him being victimised but you need to ask why the HMs, and a lot of the viewing public, took an instant dislike to him. Its his air of arrogancy that he carries about with him in his way of talking and his mannerisms. Confidence is attractive, but arrogancy is ugly and this is why hes been up for nomination now since day one. He made himself the victim by simply playing the Mr big i am when in actual fact he is the total opposite. He is your present day Walter Mitty and lives in a dream world where he has to buy people even to be his "friend". He has no currency in the house so he tried to use his over inflated ego to impress people but this back fired on him in the beginning. He did start to let his mask slip, but after comming out of the SH its firmly back in place. Hes a person that certainly cannot be trusted.
Watching him from the outside maybe entertaining but if i were in the House i would most certainly be nominating him every week to get him out.....
Hes a victim of his own stupidity to play someone he is not....

Love Gina. Not a Dexter fan, not a Callum fan. I do however side with Callum in this situation. I agree with xPinkPegasusx. Already you can see Dexter moving back to Hazel and not interacting with Charlie as much, because he now knows that Callum knows he has no chance with her so has nothing more to gain from it.

what a corny quote
what an absurd reason to hate someone...gina has the body of a 10 year old boy too (plus silicon implants) but shes dislikeable as she is 100% selfish self centred spoilt who moans and bitches 24 hours a day , mostly behind peoples backs then cant back it up as she hasn't thought anything through and does it just for affect and tedious attention sekeing....her game plan is as shallow as her beauty regime and worship of material things

Yep... And I can see how subtle jibes have been used to maximum effect too, the blowing kisses and the winking at callum then acting surprised when he reacts to that ensuring the rest if the HM's know who 'appears' to be the aggressor.. Yet dexter remains the instigator and the catalyst for all the animosity in the house.
