View Full Version : Should Sleazy Sam get warned for being rude to Female Guests?
Im_Juz_ChiLLin

Two times now i have recognised that female guests have entered the house for a task and Sam has aimed rude and sleazy comments about how they should kiss him and strip for his amusement.... Should BB warn him for this type of behaviour as those women could have families or kids watching them which would not like being talked to in this manner. One incident was already edited with the tannng ladies and now another incident was edicted with the female hosts on Dexter's show when he said you wann undress for me....
Sam To Knives Assistant 'Flash Your G**h For Free Pie & Mash'
Wolfy on BB Couch Potatoes talking about Sam last Wednesday. Apparently Sam shouted to the Female knive assistant during Gina's task
'Flash Your Gash For Free Pie & Mash'
Hear it here around the 61:00 mark.

They should remove him from the house for it and then wait to see how long it takes for the housemates to notice he's gone.
One of them might notice before the final?

Didn't Dexter make some sort of innuendo to Jemima (we know that Sam did at the beginning about his winky expanding) when she was sitting on the bed next to him or was that someone else? I've being a fan of Dexters throughout this BB series but Sam went up in my estimation tonight and Dexter right down - and I guess there will be a lot of viewers feeling like this.

Sam sleazy? I don't think so. He is just a young lad who says things without really meaning them. His reaction when Hazel made herself comfortable next to him the other day proves he is more shy than sleazy. If there is one sleazy man there it is definitely Dexter. He might not say anything bad to female guests in BB but outside he would already have got his wallet out and offered them money to spend the night with them

Not sure the title "sleazy Sam" is going to catch on, not while the king of sleaze is still in the house.
MatthewS
04-08-2013, 10:44 PM
Definitely not the king of sleaze, but he's certainly made a few comments over the series that are quite immature/inappropriate for someone that's 24 years old. Things like telling Jemima that she makes his 'winky' expand, the 'any hole is a goal' comment and apparently he told the task girls to 'show us your gash for some bangers and mash'. I'd expect that from a 12-14 year old, maybe, but certainly not a grown man. He's generally a nice enough guy I think, but he's certainly on the immature side, or just socially awkward and not aware of what's appropriate and what's not.

In a logical world then no, Sam doesn't deserve a warning for that. Perhaps it's not the most tasteful thing to come out with but i'm sure worse things have been said in previous series of BB. However, since they gave one to Jemima for 'being racist' and one to Dexter for the gypsy comment then I don't understand why Sam didn't get one for that.

Not unless the people on the receiving end took it offensively. And even then, I'm not sure tbh. I bet if Callum or Dexter had said that though, BB would have pulled them up on it.

Some people reach full maturity sooner than others. The human brain reaches full maturity in early to mid 20s. The part of the brain that is associated with impulse control/understanding of personal external impact is one of the last parts to mature ( as I understand it - long time since I read up on this:p)
I realise there are young lads and lasses living very adult lives, and some of them may be fully adult at a very young age, but that doesn't mean a 22/23 year old isn't a young lad *smiles*
*goes on a google hunt*
Ah, here's something that talks about it:
According to recent findings, the human brain does not reach full maturity until at least the mid-20s. (See J. Giedd in References.) The specific changes that follow young adulthood are not yet well studied, but it is known that they involve increased myelination and continued adding and pruning of neurons. As a number of researchers have put it, "the rental car companies have it right." The brain isn't fully mature at 16, when we are allowed to drive, or at 18, when we are allowed to vote, or at 21, when we are allowed to drink, but closer to 25, when we are allowed to rent a car.
http://hrweb.mit.edu/worklife/youngadult/brain.html
[eta] This is pretty interesting too:
The prefrontal cortex, the part of the frontal lobes lying just behind the forehead, is often referred to as the “CEO of the brain.” This brain region is responsible for cognitive analysis and abstract thought, and the moderation of “correct” behavior in social situations. The prefrontal cortex takes in information from all of the senses and orchestrates thoughts and actions to achieve specific goals.1,2
The prefrontal cortex is one of the last regions of the brain to reach maturation. This delay may help to explain why some adolescents act the way they do. The so-called “executive functions” of the human prefrontal cortex include:
Focusing attention
Organizing thoughts and problem solving
Foreseeing and weighing possible consequences of behavior
Considering the future and making predictions
Forming strategies and planning
Ability to balance short-term rewards with long term goals
Shifting/adjusting behavior when situations change
Impulse control and delaying gratification
Modulation of intense emotions
Inhibiting inappropriate behavior and initiating appropriate behavior
Simultaneously considering multiple streams of information when faced with complex and challenging information
This brain region gives an individual the capacity to exercise “good judgment” when presented with difficult life situations. Brain research indicating that brain development is not complete until near the age of 25, refers specifically to the development of the prefrontal cortex.3
