He twists, he turns, he quotes and misquotes, he wriggles and wiggles and writhes around but there's no denying the truth: Dexter was caught out by Sam.
Sam may have started out as one of the quiet HMs but his resolve is steelier and his strength of character greater than any others remaining when it comes to standing up for his beliefs.
Normally I don't like supporting those who have gone 'under the radar' but his conviction and consistency in staying true to himself would make him a worthier winner than someone who has just slimed his way through the series for the dubious, some would say sadistic, pleasure of the viewers.
This next few days could be fascinating in directions most would not have suspected a week ago.
