As a mother myself I can understand why she nominated the way she did. Fortunately my children are ok, but if they werent I would stand up for them the way Sams mum did.
Dexter is intelligent enough to realise that a bit more effort was needed to communicate with Sam, and yet hes barely bothered with him for the first few weeks.
Also I seem to remember One of the pyschologists saying that Sophie made little effort to talk properly to Sam, and gave the impression that she thought it was a chore. I think
that her Nan was plain rude, and hasnt done Sophie any good. She wouldnt like it if anyone had spoken about Sophie that way.
