Nooo :nono: keep it all in one show!
The hour breaks were bad enough when they stuck them in the middle of evictions, let alone the final night.

Think it will stay in 2 parts, times may change. CBB launch will be subject to change I presume

Why do you think that from the schedule? Probably right though :(

Split by "Under the Dome" which is running in the States right now but which got mauled on IMDB. One to miss I'd say! (It has 13 episodes this year)

Withano

Why do you think that from the schedule? Probably right though :(

They'd probably cut it down from 5-2 in part one and keep the voting open between Gina and Sam for an hour. There would be a lot of anti-Gina votes in that hour.

Any chance of 2 million plus is gone of they stick to this. Isn't there a rule that they can't do live shows past 11? That's why eviction interviews are pre recoded?

The watershed is 11pm, right? they will probably film part 2 during the other show -_-

Not sure - The evictions have all been completely live so far.

A hours break seems bit too long, especially considering its a week night.

jackc1806

Sure Elstree council has rules about noise ect, after 11 they can't do it so it would have to be prerecorded unless they get permission

It's not unknown for them to pre-record and pretend it's live!

With a final it's too much, someone in the crowd could tweet the result an hour before its broadcasted!

What a stupid decision.

Are the producers trying to get low ratings? LOL

Who is going to stay up until 11:30 on a work night?

I hope they change this.

The second part wont be live im afraid as there are time restraints at Elstree especially on a weekday so it wont be a "live final" as advertised.

Ratings wise how do we even calculate what the final got if say part 1 gets 2 million and part 2 gets 1 million?

Under the dome looks good but why shove it inbetween a show that's brought them some vey good ratings this year?

Really annoyed.

People email Ben Frow seeing as he actually listens to fans.

Could go the way around though with people who support entertainment voting in mass for Gina.

Nothing to do with BB producers, Frow will want to use BB's popularity to prop up Under the Dome. I agree, but part 2 will get a high share. Stupid though- less casuals will watch

Not quite, the Simpsons Movie was influenced by the book that Under the Dome is an adaptation of.

No matter how good Under The Dome is it shouldn't be wedged inbetween the BB final.

Its out of place.

They are both two big shows which deserve their own slot.

UTD should premier on a Wednesday night in the build up to CBB.

Its hard to commit to an hours drama when you're waiting for the 2nd part of BB.

Why are they making it hard work lol.

There's nothing wrong with split finals, in fact I quite liked them back in the days of BB7 so it'd be nice to have one again, but these times are just so wrong. Back on C4 the shows would be split 8:30 - 9:30 and then 10:00 - 11:05 (with a half an hour show in the middle, usually 8 Out Of 10 Cats BB Special, IIRC) and it worked perfectly with around a 15 minute delay (which is reasonable, not the kind of delay we'd get with this schedule).

As other people have said, they can't film past 11pm on Friday nights and they are only allowed a certain number of extra days per year where they can have an audience until 11pm on a weekday, any other time and the cutoff is 10pm. If they can get it until 11pm that's fine but with this schedule the second show will begin recording pretty much as soon as the first one is finished meaning spoilers of the winner will start appearing around 10:30, about 45 minutes before it's revealed on C5...absolutely ludicrous.

This better be changed or it's goodbye to an actual event feeling for the final, there's nothing worse than a show that should be live being prerecorded 45 minutes earlier.

Either swap it for a half an hour show so it finishes at 11pm and the delay is only around 15 minutes or start the first show at 8:30 and then sandwich this new drama for the hour in that way.

Under the Dome is awful. I got through 3 episodes of it. The concept is good as are the special effects, and I really wanted to like it... but... 90% of the acting is bad. And I mean really, really bad. Not even just bad - actually awful. And the scriptwriting isn't great either - one of the main characters is played by Dean Norris who plays Hank in "Breaking Bad" (9.4 on IMDB), and is a brilliant actor in that. But in Under the Dome? The writing is so bad, that it makes him seem like a bad actor. The dialogue is predictable, cheesy and unrealistic. I just can't.

That even makes it sound better than it is. I mean Dean Norris, a good actor with a bad script, his scenes are pretty bad... the scenes with unknown / young actors are so bad, it's verging on painful to watch. Even "Revolution" is better... and it's completely ridiculous.

... / end rant.

(I'm a big TV fan, I give most new shows a whirl as soon as they get a US release date :joker: )

That's why The Voice used to flop on a Sunday when people realised it was all pre recorded it totally took away any excitement and left viewers feeling left out or pissed off.

They should start this years BB final at 8:30 if they are going to split it.

10:55 (Random time) is far to late.

An 11pm finish would be acceptable but 11:30 then BOTS on till 12:30 is just a dumb decision.

Under The Dome needs its own night as does BB.

Also I'm surprised it's the Monday in the provisionals, we've been expecting all series the date to be Tuesday 20th since that's when one of the twins said it ended on the second day's live feed. Maybe it'll be moved tomorrow?

What about if they did an actual split final (over two days) like they did for the launch? LOL

They would have to class it as a semi final for it to not be tedious.

Probably sent this out so other networks know what they're up against. Channel 5 will move it at the last minute because Channel 4 will probably schedule something against it. Happened with CBB8 launch.

Why can't they keep things simple and have a 1 1/2 hour show from 8:30-10:00?

This is just pointless, the ratings for the second half at least will be diabolical.

They have stuck the pilot of Under The Dome on between BB Shows to try keep the BB viewers watching it.

Clashes with Corrie then.

We could hope they drop UTD and move it to another day leaving BB running 9-10.30 however a UTD repeat is scheduled for Tuesday on 5USA almost confirming it is staying there. Unless it is a complicated ruse it is staying as it it. Only the CBB launch will be moved to Thursday I think

If it is a turkey as appears to be the case, they are not doing themselves any favours in trying to force BB viewers to watch, I suspect many will just switch off after the first half.

Apart from anything else they will lose VAST amounts of revenue for the final voting if it's on so late...

There will definitely be spoilers and this will totally ruin the end of the show...

If it happens this way I will record both episodes and not switch my computer on or read any texts until the next morning...AND I won't vote...humph...

daniel-lewis-1985

They are wrong if they think people will stick around to watch utd.

People will tune in to watch BB and that's it.

Perfect example is them moving Wednesday nights to 9pm to accomodate Love/Hate....What happens? Love/Hate flops with 600k whilst BB gets a slightly lower audience then a big +1 figure when people realised it was moved.

Its 2013 and pre recording something like this when theres Twitterverse to leak the results as they happen just doesn't work anymore.

It has to be live or it just doesn't work.

Going to have to switch off my computer because if I find out who wins from one of those pricks in the crowd I will not be a happy bunny.

I think aswell having a final on a Monday night (everyones most hated and mundane day) makes it feel like less of an event.

Last years final was on Monday to and flopped big time.

If this goes ahead lines will also close whilst the show is off-air or perhaps even as the first show finishes if they don't want the hassle of having to stress that the lines will be closing at some random time while this drama is on, and that'd be pretty ridiculous.

So the lines close at around 10pm yet we have to wait 75 minutes to hear the result? Seriously this better be changed tomorrow
