Since when did the nominations have to be specific to things done to the housemate somebody is nominating on behalf of? Odd angle for Hazel to take on Charlie's friends nominations.

Because they are nominating on behalf of their housemate (friend/family).
Charlies friends was totally unrelated to Charlie and to the Daley situation which happened a month ago.
Everyone elses f+f based their nomination on how it would affect their housemate in the house.
Hazel and Charlie are best mates and her friend totally disregarded that to get her time on tv.

The girl can do what she wants, what does it really matter?

Exactly, people keep saying it on here as well. There's no rule that it has to relate to the housemate, it's not their nomination it's the friends and families

I can sort of see her point - most of them nominated in ways they thought would best help their friend / family member in the house, and that's what people expect, I suppose.
There's no rule that says that they HAVE to but... Charlie's friend clearly nominated to satisfy a personal hatred of Hazel (another jilted woman, no doubt) and her nomination not only failed to help her supposed friend - it actually put her in a horrible situation within the house and caused her a lot of upset. If she didn't realise it would then... well... she must be an extra-special sort of idiot.
So yeah there's no rule that says she had to nominate with her friend's best interests at heart. It just makes her a sort of ****ty friend for not doing so.
