View Full Version : Who is the kindest HM?

I can hardly believe I'm saying this as I wouldn't have a week ago. But I think Dexter and twin Joe have the biggest hearts. I know they aren't perfect by any means and Dex in particular is probably sly and a gameplayer - but that doesn't mean he isn't kind hearted at the same time.
Who do you think is the kindest HM?

Dexter has never been intentionally malicious to anyone, not even Callum. He's messed with him sarcastically, but not in a way intended to truly hurt him (contrary to Callum reading into every little thing he said or did).

I don't think any of the others could say that. They may not do it to their faces, but they've all said things that they may need to answer for once they've left. It's similar to how they kept accusing Dexter of gossiping when he was saying, "I've heard xyz about you, be careful" while they were all running around naming names.

Dexter, for all his flaws and gameplaying, does have a good heart in my view.

Dexter definitely has the best intentions and is the kindest person in there out of all of them.
He's the only one who really seems to care about correcting his flaws when they've been pointed out by F + F and he makes an effort to include everyone despite the way he's been treated by many of them in there.

Yes, he surprises me that he does give the other HM's good advice so they come across better to the viewers. He is coming across as quite caring.
He is a sly one, I think, but he also looks out for other people as well. It's not a combination we are used to seeing on BB.
When Dan said he couldn't help loving him I couldn't see why - but I do now.

Dex is extremely kind hearted .He tried to stop daley and hazel of their nonsense as it will look bad on them. He tried to comfort SAM,CHARLIE,he gave compliment to the twin when is due,he told callum he is a nice guy when watching him in the safe house,he told Gina to be careful not to damage her chance of winning and to be careful if he is evicted. I will be very very very surprise if Dexter is not the winner of BB. I wish I have a friend like him.He is genuine and loyal.Has anyone notice when he is insulted he does not become aggressive but rather use his intelligence to answer back?

..yeah I would agree with that, despite his flaws which they all have anyway, he does seem to think about other people sometimes, as does Joe..but the others don't see anything beyond themselves...

I've always thought Dexter has a good heart and I can't believe i'm saying this but surprisingly after how he was with Charlie during the recent ugliness I also have to say one of the twins showed a nicer side to himself. Its actually a shame that Jack and Joe come as one because I've always thought one is most definately nicer than the other.

If you really believe that Dexter is, and you can't read the signs that come from him when he is being 'nice' such as him scrunching his eyes, his eyes flickering and the death stare he gives then god help you. It must be people who vote for Dexter that are the reasons why we have so many dodgy politicians.

I think it depends as to who they are showing kindness too, Dexter shows little kindness to Sam really but was on the surface good with Charlie last night on the highlights.

Sadly I think they all demonstrate superficial kindness when it suits them.So if I was in there and also from watching them,I doubt I would trust any of their kindnesses towards me were really genuine.
They likely all have good hearts really but a lot of people hold back from showing too much emotion.

Dexter - they all take the mick out of him and he can laugh it off and tries to be nice to them. Even Sam he has tried to connect with but because Sam is so filled with Dexter hate from Callum he can't see that or make his own mind up.

Indeed he can and that's why I love him and find him entertaining. He is a total wind up merchant but then so am I so I guess that's why I can connect with him and find it funny that he really gets to the others in there, but with no malicious intent at all.

Dexter is not that liked outside the house, the public have voted him to be up for eviction every week of the whole series.

He is fortunate in that there is someone else up with him that the public or others can band against to vote out more but really with the public, Dexter is the only housemate to ever have been their choice to be up for eviction in every single week.
Hardly a ringing endorsement.

He is though able to show kindness at times but I think likely they all can 'if' it is genuinely deserved by the recipient of the kindness.

None of them. Ever since it has been getting close to the final they have all kicked off with each other. They all have their eyes on the prize and they would sacrifice any of the other housemates in a heartbeat if it meant getting that money... i don't like any of them except Gina. She was playing the perfect game! Why did she get mixed up with the whole Hazel, Charlie situation. Probably cause she heard "Get Gina out" so thought she better do something.

Charlie by a clear mile.

Charlie seems like a nice enough girl, but she comes across as so self - absorbed. She agrees with whoever she is talking to (yeah yeah yeah), says what she thinks the others want to hear, then she does the opposite and lets her true feelings slip when she puts her foot in it. Then she spends ages trying to talk herself out of trouble but just getting in deeper. As a result it's hard to tell who Charlie really is and what she really thinks and feels.
She seems like a person with no real convictions or strong personality of her own.
I can see why others like her - but personally she's not my cup of tea.

Sam is a lazy self-centered bum. He won't even pedal the bike on the bedroom for the benefit of other HMs. Even Gina does this.... very occasionally!

The kindest thing Callum did was leave - after pushing his unfounded hatred of Dexter onto Sam - at least it gave Sam more sleep time and saved him from having to get to know people himself :conf:

They do a weekly poll thing on Bit on the Side where the public's preferred nominees are revealed :p

And conveniently, they seem to match the house noms every week, because no matter how many are up, they'll read that many names "in no particular order". Meaning if 4 are up and Dexter is in 4th place with 7% of the vote, they're including his name.

Obviously Callum, I cannot believe for the life of me that so many people are saying Dexter. Really?

There is nothing kind in telling only one of the five people who've nominated you that if you are evicted, it's all their fault, and then giving them the silent treatment for 12 hours like a 13 year old having a snit.
