View Full Version : Don't vote for who needs the money most! Vote for who played Secrets & Lies!

There is a lot of, "I am not voting for Gina because she doesn't need the money", and "oh Sam deserves the money because he needs it more than...", going around.

The prize money wasn't put there to go to the person who needed it the most. It was put there to be awarded to the person who played the game of Secrets & Lies the best.

Why give the money to someone who has, frankly, done NOTHING. Why not give it to someone (whether they need it or not) who made for interesting television and who embraced the notion of Secrets & Lies... ie. Gina, Dexter.

Gina/Dexter fans have been fully invested in their hm's since week 1. They'll push harder for the win I think.

Either of them would fully deserve the winners title.

I don't think your idea will catch on. Nobody is going to vote for someone they don't like no matter how entertaining they are or how well they played the game. The voters that decide are not from these forums, they watch the main show and sometimes BBBOTS and vote for who they LIKE, NOT WHO THEY THINK DESERVES THE MONEY FOR FINANCIAL OR GAME PLAYING REASONS. That's why Sam will walk it. OH BTW.....Gina is the poorest of them all bar maybe Dexter.

I never said Gina wasn't poor. All I said was that she played the game well. Poor or wealthy, if you play the game well you deserve to win. But I see your point about people voting for who they like the most, but apart from maybe Sam, Gina and Dexter are the two most liked housemates (although also disliked). What got them there? Their ability to play the game and stir up some trouble!

None of them deserve the money this year. it should be given to charity or the Salvation Army.

I wouldn't actually mind that. Take the money out of the equation completely!

How right you are , so many people are in La La Land regarding their reasons for wanting certain people to win ! The object of taking part is to be a good entertaining team player - not to barely take part and crawl off to bed at every opportunity , voting for same 2 people every single week as thats hardly a 'journey' is it !

The winner should be worthy of the title - and want it ! (not just for the cash)

Yes, of course there will be Sam fans who have supported since the start, I think MrWong was just stating that in the passed two weeks, there has been a lot more support come Sam's way, so it may not be as deep a support as Gina and Dexter who have had a very strong and loyal following the entire show, bar maybe Gina's first three days.

Correct alot of the Sam support is people who transferred from Callum when he was evicted. Of course there are people who supported Sam from the beginning though not really sure how that worked as he hardly featured and the only thing I can remember is his expanding winky comment to Jemima.

I don't find cruelty and bitchiness entertaining regardless of how well they "played the game". But I don't find any of them particularly entertaining, the next best personality trait would be genuine niceness therefore Sam would get my vote.

Oh please!

If people only voted for the "most entertaining" then they wouldn't have voted off the big personalities in the first place!

Plus you seem to forget that majority of those that are actually put up for eviction are put up by their fellow housemates anyway (iow they are not chosen by public or F+F). So if, as you liked to say, they are embracing the notion (lmao) of "secret and lies" then why did they vote and continue to vote for the big personalities so their competition, once again like most other shows, dwindles to nothing?

where did all of 'samptv's' comments go about Sam followers and how they haven't all jumped on the bandwagon in the past two weeks? Obviously realised that Gina and Dexter fans are a lot more invested in them since they have been with them since the very beginning.

(not saying all Sam's followers have jumped on with him in the last two weeks, but his support has greatly increased since Callum left.)

But you are forgetting that was in a vote to evict situation. In a vote to SAVE (much like vote to win), I don't think Sally would have gone first week, I don't think Dan would have gone the week he did (in fact Sam would be out). The most entertaining characters will also be the ones with the most haters ie. Dexter, and as of the last few days, Gina, but put them in a vote to save or win situation, and the story could be very different.

No. You're forgetting it happens every single time so your "vote to evict" vs "vote to save" really has no bearing on the fact that the HMs always nominate out the biggest personalities first and the public then vote them out first.

That might happen when the housemates nominate all big characters, giving the public no choice but to evict a big character, but you cannot say that if it was vote to save, Dan would have been evicted. NOT A CHANCE.

If Hazel were somehow able to make it to the final (not a chance) she would beat Sophie, The Twins and maybe Charlie (bar the last few days) because they have done nothing to grab any positive support. But in a vote to evict situation, she has no chance in hell. If it was vote to save this week, she would have a chance of survival, because whilst there are A LOT of Hazel haters, there are also quite a few supporters who would be willing to pick up the phone and save her.

Another example, last week. Callum was evicted because he drummed up a lot of hate for his attack on Dexter, but he also gained a lot of support. Put that in a vote to save situation and The Twins would have been in a bit of strife because they did nothing all week to provoke anyone to pick up a phone and save them.

If Sam is in the last two then i will vote for him to win the money, but i would like to make it crystal clear that my vote would NOT be for Sam to win because he is a nice, genuine, funny or even an entertaining housemate, no, my vote would be out of pure sympathy for him and nothing else. Because If Sam does make it to the final two then the sympathy vote is the only logical reason why he would be there.

All housemate will spunk money on themselves. Dexter/Hazel said they have businesses, 100K will do good maybe even employ people.

There is a lot of, "I am not voting for Gina because she doesn't need the money",

5 mins research on the web will show that Gina needs the money as much as, if not more than, any other housemate.
