No I disagree, when you're in there, you would crave a decent friendship and you would become psychologically closer than others may think, hence Charlies "best friend" comment

I think Charlie wanted to feel a close friendship whilst in the house, wish I had been in the house with her, I would most definately have been her friend, she's a nice lass

Yes true. Everything is intensified in there and to have a friendship is like a lifeline.

When he had a girlfriend on the outside, everything was wrong.
Dexter even said to Charlie (though she didn't seem to understand what he was really saying) that he'd be shocked if more than 2 or 3 people from this series ever bother to even text each other to go for a drink.
Your in house ally is not the same thing as a forever close friend you can relate to day to day outside the house.

I think you're forgetting its all day everyday for 2 months. You'd yearn for a close friend.
Really? 9 - 12 months? well that's a pretty specific time frame...
I think you know when you have found a real true friend regardless of the time frame, they are spending all day every day with them too not just a couple of hours here and there so I think it's definitely possible.
Hazel just probably has no true friends :idc:

Well on Jeremy Kyle yesterday a couple met, moved in together, had a baby and split up within 6 months. So there.

Why does anyone listen to what this girl has to say as factual or relevant just because she knows how to have a good argument. As far as I know she's the only one that mentioned "best friend" when she felt hard done by by Charlie. She said she thought Charlie was her best friend. Charlie never said that. But anyways, yes I concur with blue, get the hoe out.

That's fresh considering that many of our population (both male and female) will jump into bed with complete strangers after a couple of minutes of meeting!
But because it's Hazel that makes her a hoe? Nice! :bored:

I mostly agree, there are people I have met who I felt a connection with instantly but I do make sure I can trust people first.
So I doubt I would be calling anyone a close friend in just a few weeks although I would be well into the friendship process.
Having said that and as you point out,a normal 2 months is out the window as to BB.
For the weeks they are in there, they are with each other 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, that reveals a lot about people that you don't get in only a few hours or less most days on the outside.
When I started Uni, I moved in with 3 other guys sharing a house and after about 4 weeks we had learned a great deal about each other and I certainly termed 2 of them as friends after a very short time.

There is a difference between real "best friends" and "best friends" in the house.

Yes strong friendships can be made in the House in such a short time as they have been on other reality shows.
Charlie has used the term "best friend" but has always added "in the house" That person being Hazel who she had bonded with the most and had a strong connection with. This doesnt mean that she considered her the BBF in the real world.....

What's wrong with casual sex?
It makes females seem slutty cheap and nasty. Double standards, but that's life no matter how much feminists try and prove otherwise.

a) They didn't have sex.
b) Yes, HE had a girlfriend, one which he lied about having and claimed had broken up with him.

Tbh, I think it must mean she has some very longterm friends.
She was talking about "best friends". If you go into BB for two months and come out and can claim someone you met in there is now your BEST friend then you mustn't have much great friends on the outside who actually know you in your life. If you're friends with someone since childhood and then claim someone you've known 2 months is now your best friend then something's wrong.
A casual friend or whatever, yes. Best friend? Unless you're Dexter and apparently have no friends, then no.

It makes females seem slutty cheap and nasty. Double standards, but that's life no matter how much feminists try and prove otherwise.
The operative word there is 'seem'.
Also, you seem to misunderstand what feminists try to 'prove'. They don't try to prove that the double standard doesn't exist. They try to explain why it shouldn't
Recognising it as a double standard and then just suggesting we leave it at that seems a tad silly to me and 'that's life' isn't an adequate answer. Fifty years ago a black man and a white woman together were considered by many to be wrong, and for those who argued that such an attitude was unfair, plenty of people claimed it was a wholly natural response to object to miscegenation. Different races were expected to stay with their own: that was life.
A hundred and fifty years ago it was considered quite wrong for women to wear trousers. Questions were asked in parliament about the Pit Head Lassies and their habit of working in trousers. It was considered unwomanly. that was just life. That was just how it was.
What is 'just the way it is' now, is no more immutable than it was back then.

Did you see the interview with Daleys girlfriend?
Well, not sure what that has to do with anything really. The people in the house didn't see the interview, and daley did tell Hazel and the other HMs that his relationship was up in the air, that he didn;t even know iof she was still his girlfriend, and that prior to entering the house they were 'in a pickle'.

Did you see the interview with Daleys girlfriend?
Yes, but we're talking about Hazel and Daley and their situation in the house.
You know the ones locked in the BB house 24/7 with no contact with the outside world?
He LIED about his relationship, as I said.
