''The Ratings are up, so everything we have done IS justified'

is that going to be the final word from the producers from now on?
the ratings are up around 20.000 if i am correct? am i?

so does that mean 'the ratings are up, so letting the housemates have all this outside contact must be a good idea''
''the ratings are up, so vote to evict must be a good idea''
''the ratings are up, so messing with nominations on a weekly basis must be a good idea''
'' the ratings are up, so our flat twists must have been great''

you see where im going with this?

BB will never learn, even if they was only getting one viewer they would still throw out these lame twists on launch night, the entertainers would still be being voted out, and Rylan Clark would still have those teeth.

:joker:

its fairly obvious, think op is saying the producers will justify any ridiculous decision they have made by saying 'the ratings are up'.
they can use it as an excuse to ignore any moaning FM members, complainers etc etc .
i do remember reading on another forum that someone emailed ben frow about some ridiculous C5 decision or another, and he did actually reply saying the ratings are up haha :joker::sleep:

Probably, and I can't say I blame them if it's what's getting them ratings.

Sucks for us super fans who just prefer a stripped back classic series though.

I dont believe it is though, thats the point.

Bar the actor twist and the safehouse, i dont think anything else production wise would of had an impact on ratings at all.
Its all been down to a solid cast.
And also the fact there has been very little competition this year on television compared to last year! Luckily for the show.

To be fair, if the rating were way down people on the forum would each naturally blame whatever grievance they have with the program.

Completely understandable. And yes it does such for long time fans. BBUS was my introduction to Big Brother and, evne accounting for the change in format after the first series in 2000, what they have done to that show in the last four or five years is atrocious from my perspective. However, from a business perspective, it is one of the most popular summer series on US television and one of the few that holds onto the lions share of its audience from year to year. Even if BBUK only holds its existing audience from year to year that is a huge win in today's tv marketplace. Hard to see producers changing course.
