The public are not stupid, Sam obiously is not shown much for good reason, (boring/sexist when awake) there are only so many sexist remarks and jokes that the public can take. It is not 1960 it is 2013 and BB have done their best to edit out those things but the public are well aware of what Sam thinks of women. Regardless of the result Sam will walk out to massive cheers which will then go silent when he points and shouts to the crowd.. boobies boobies boobies.
