They have always hung out together. The producers are just putting more of it in the HL. The live feed is usually them two talking. I think this is the billionth time people have written this.

I think for most of the series they just haven't done much together to warrant it making the HLs tbh, I mean what we saw of them last night wasn't particularly interesting: "do you ever go on a run?", "no because I have a treadmill", "when was the last time you went on a run?", "about a year ago"

It annoyed me last night that on HL they did not show Sam asking Gina what task she would have if she could have any task and she said she wanted to be a princess, have a room full of clothes and style everyone for a fashion show

I know they are and I watch the LF pretty much every night (when I can), my point was that they probably just don't consider their interactions interesting enough to make the cut for the main show most of the time, rather than it being some sort of hidden agenda on the producers part
