And people think not having 24/7 live feed isn't that bad
In the old days we wouldn't have to wait until they decided they want to tell us, we'd know straight away by watching the feeds. That's how this show should work, the premise is that we can watch them 24 hours a day and know what's going on at all times. Having to read a Twitter feed is bad enough, but when they then start holding back information just to hype things up, they're being ******s.

Big Brother has thrown the twist into the House! The Big Payoff is here…
Our four nominated housemates have been told that they’re about to face a very, very important dilemma.
Big Brother is prepared to pay off our remaining HMs in cold, hard cash to leave the show tonight. The question is, what’s the lowest amount of money they’ll be willing to take in order to leave the process?
One by one, in a random order chosen by the housemates, the four evictees will come to the small task room. Inside they’ll be faced with a dramatically lit wall of figures. The wall will be covered in removable boards, each with a different amount of money written on it – ranging from a quid to £100,000. The four evictees must each choose the lowest amount they’d be prepared to take in order to clear off this very evening.
Housemates are going to have to think about how much money they want to receive, how much they think others will take and, even more than that, how much they want to stay to the final. The lower they go, the more likely they are to win, but the less money they’ll leave with and their BB experience will end rather abruptly.
Each of our four nominated housemates will then place their chosen cash-piles inside a briefcase before being gathered in the living area where they’ll stand behind a podium. One by one, they’ll open their briefcases to reveal the amount of money they’ve chosen.

This twist has been invented to evict Dexter, so their fave Sam gets an easy ride for the final, simple as.....
This twist is to see who is 'on a journey' and who is interested in the money.
In other words who has been telling the truth about why they went into the house.
I would take money if I knew I had no chance of winning.

Sophie looked cheesed off, there again he was never going to choose Gina, and Gina knew it. Sophie to be evicted for cheating then.
Karma?
Though I think he could well have chosen Gina, he chose Sophie for the free pass over his lady-love Charlie after all.
But as has already been said above, it means nothing as Sophie is safe and Charlie is going anyway. So no change. Phew!
Had he chosen Gina then everything would have changed.
Re Sam I don't think he's greedy, he knew that 100,000 was the best way to stay in the house, that was what he wanted, not the money.

Sophie Lawrence is now facing this week’s eviction instead of Dexter Koh following tonight’s Big Brother 2013 prize fund twist, which has turned out to be the show’s latest lie.
Earlier tonight, Big Brother told the four nominees – Charlie, Dexter, Jack and Joe and Sam – that one of them would be leaving the house tonight with a chunk of the winner’s prize fund.
Individually, each nominee entered the task room to choose the lowest amount that they would be willing to accept to leave the Big Brother house immediately.
Once all four had chosen an amount and sealed it in a briefcase, Big Brother lined them up in the living room, and one by one they were instructed to reveal their amounts.
Sam had the highest amount, the full £100,000, while Jack and Joe chose £96,850. Charlie had slightly more – £99,000 – before Dexter revealed his £88,800.
However, Big Brother then revealed that his earlier announcement had been a lie – and confirmed that nobody would be leaving the house tonight, nor would any money be deducted from the prize fund.
Instead, as he had proven himself to be the least greedy housemate, Dexter was told he’d been saved from eviction – but, as a result, he’d have to choose either Gina or Sophie to replace him.
After an agonising deliberation, he named Sophie as the replacement nominee – meaning either Charlie, Jack and Joe, Sam or Sophie will be evicted this Friday

Day 63: The Big Pay Off has repercussions
3 mins ago
A wise man once said, ever action has an equal and opposite reaction. We're writers, here, not physicists, so we're not entirely sure how to apply that to the way the House reacted to tonight's Big Pay Off twist. Instead, we'll say this: Dexter is being questioned left, right and centre on his motives.
If you watched the videos (and if you didn't, stop right there, rewind and get them watched pronto!) you'll have seen that Dexter went for the £88,800. When the amounts were revealed, it was revealed that Dexter chose the lowest amount, and whould therefore leave with £88,800 of the £100,000 prize fund.
Except, this was a LIE! Dexter's actual prize was a free pass to the final, and he got to choose someone to replace him on the eviction chopping block this Friday.
Understandably, the House is now full of speculation. Charlie and Dexter had one of their deep chats, which largely consisted of Charlie wondering "is he the game player everyone said?" and reasoning that she believed Dexter had gone for a purposeful 'steal' while herself and Sam had chosen the highest possible figures to ensure they stayed on.
Charlie said "it was a high enough amount to walk away with a s**tload of money, and low enough to be the lowest amount [chosen]...I can't understand where your head is!" Sam chipped in "you're full of s**t" to Dexter, which is a more concise way of putting it, we suppose...
Interestingly, nobody seems to be picking up on the fact that the twins also could have chosen a higher amount for safety's sake, but opted for £96,850. Jack and Joe themselves have weighed in on the issue, blasting Dexter. Joe said "he's been playing a game since Day 1!"
With Sophie in agreement with the consensus, it seems the only housemate on Dexter's side is Gina. So, not for the first time, we're seeing a Ginxter alliance against accusations of deviousness and ruthless game playing.

Thinking about this properly..whoever was 'randomly' selected to go first was in the best position really.
Take 100k - You are definitely safe if BB is telling the truth, but if they flip it, you leave with the full prize.
They thought there might be a twist with it from the minute they were told the task.

BB Spy reporting that since Dexter was the least greedy he got to be safe and make a replacement nom. But wasn't he the MOST greedy since he had the lowest $ choice so would leave and take the winnings? Sam should have been the least greedy because by picking $100K he knew he wouldn't get the money and would stay. Is this wrong??

Dexter calculated the others would pick high so he reped the fund and got caught. If he was defo interested in staying why didn't he pick the 98k not 88k

That's not what I understood from their reactions on the video.
What I assumed from both Sam and Charlie is that they had twigged on that Dexter chose to take a lower amount of £88,8k when he still had an opportunity to take 99k or another amount in the high 90's.
This made them realise that he was a gameplayer, because if the twist had been played according to what BB said then he would have walked out that night with 88k leaving the winner with only £11,200. Yet he was always banging on about his journey, and saying that making it to the final would be such an accomplishment, etc. So they are saying if that's the case then why did he deliberately take the £88k and not the 99k. Fair point from them I think.

Yes and I think there's going to be another twist. Something to do with that 88k and those up for eviction.
There has to be something else happening, otherwise what was the ****ing point in all that?
The 'honest' one's that really wanted to be in the final (100k or no 100k) all chose the highest amounts they could, as they were told. So why does the one who tries to be deceptive and take the lowest amount get a prize of immediate place in final?

Dexter calculated the others would pick high so he reped the fund and got caught. If he was defo interested in staying why didn't he pick the 98k not 88k
Sam playing the deaf card now as he was told in the bomb task he is not popular. If he win because of this then next we will see a blind come into the show and say I am here for the blind and do nothing and public make them winner. This not a show promoting disabilities. This is a game show of winning title and money.Sam you have been boring through out the show and you do not deserve to win..Sam is playing with people emotion and this is disgusting thing to do. OHHH BY THE WAY Sam never made a speech about deaf people in the dairy room to promote his campaign and and and I will believe sam nonsense if he says he does not care about the money and his winning will go for a deaf charity.
SAY THIS SAM AND I WILL BELIEVE YOU.:xyxwave:

Perhaps I would've taken you post more seriously if you had actually said you have a permanent disability, which has had a serious affect on your life since childhood.
So what if Sam wants the experience and fact that he was a BB contender to help him help other kids who have disabilities. He's not playing the deaf card he is ****ing deaf! Should he never mention this disability in any of his talks with HM's or diary room discussions? Is that what you're saying?
He may have been a boring HM (probably more so in first couple of months as he was lost in the crowd), but you cannot deny that he has been kind, open and completely honest with all of the HM's. He calls a spade a spade and has no problem in defending his opinions and stating his case - rather hard I would imagine seeing as you have to concentrate on hearing and responding so that you are understood. He's also has a very humorous personality, and some (not all) of his jokes are pretty funny.
Denying him a chance in the final and possibly winning just because he is deaf and has mentioned this fact and what he hopes to accomplish when BB is over with others with similar disabilities because you feel he's trying to use this to his advantage is just wrong imo.

I'm amazed how high they all went, I'd have gone for about £25k and the other housemates would have all thought I was a right dick for the rest of the series
I would have gone for just under 50k in that situation I think. As I would think at least one other would want to take it and they would go about 50k.
Greedy twat that I am

I just don't think BB wuld give away as much as the HMs picked.

I wont insult your intelligence but this is what I was told....honestly......BB are expecting the twins to go low as one of them wants out and they both think they cant win so 20k would have been acceptable and they were gone. That would leave the prods to tell Gina and Sophie they were up with the rest of the house due to cheating which they had to address and the vote to save was now in place with the least popular going on Friday. That's why I said 2 to go before Friday and the division of assets label.
No guesses or plants, that's what they wanted but it backfired when Dexter went low and they couldn't give him that much. What they did however guess right was that he would bring the cheater Sophie into the mix and they have skirted over ginas poo pah because it wasn't that blatant as Sophies.
There you have it truth and lock stock and barrel. In fact the VTS might come in tonight for the final with one going Friday as they need a lamb for the live eviction, that has to take place no matter what unless they come up with another twist before tonight.

Day 63 round-up: The Big Pay Off makes waves
The Rescue Squad were in full force on Day 64. Having spent the night manning the fort and saving various food stuffs from peril, it was surprising that they had any energy left to take on the bigger rescue missions later in the day.
But, this is the Rescue Squad we're talking about, and they do flourish in the face of adversity. Not only did they use their honing skills to track down some hijacked luxuries, but they also took on a pesky steam roller, preventing their grub from turning to mush. Our heroes!
Luckily their hard work paid off, as they learnt that they hadwon a luxury budget for the final week. Hurrah! We've never seen a group of people get so excited over a bag of cashew nuts and a few packets of crisps.
Alas, the joyus mood was soon to be quashed when Big Brother pulled another corker out of the bag in the form of the'Big Pay Off'. With the chance of pocketing a stash of cash and an early exit from the House, the nominated four decided to play tactical. However, it was 'least' greedy Dexter who saw the fruits of his labour, learning that his 'selfless' act actuallygained a bigger reward than he could have ever expected.
Not surprisingly, his intentions were questioned by the other housemates, with Charlie scrutinizing his motives and Sam accusing him of being a gameplayer. Oh dear, looks like another one of Dexter's ill thought-out decisions has backfired. At least he's got BFF Gina to on his side, otherwise the next 5 days would be pretty awkward to say the least

Ill thought-out eh? I would say it was thought out quite well. Was a decent chunk of cash if they were telling the truth, and low enough to be saved if they werent

Dexter admits he had a surprised reaction, You will see when you play it back he said, since when do we remember what reactions we have. They are a bi product of our emotions and not contrived or remembered by us proving he made the reaction by design. secondly he also said I wasnt thinking, now that's serious BS. Dexter is faced with 100k and he wasn't thinking, oh well we must forgive him then, mot. The little weasel was on the spot again but this time he has Charlie the devious on his case and she mugged him well and truly.
