just a few years back they were destroying you 4 and 5-0 without breaking a sweat, the mexicans have more passion for football and they play it the right way instead of lumping it to big Altidore and hoping for the best

What is your definition of a few years back?

Novo
19-11-2013, 11:26 PM
if you find suspicious stains all over your Paul Pogba sticker then you know who has had it before you

Novo

but when it matters like in the Gold Cup Final Mexico have come out on top, 3 of those USA victories are friendly matches, Mexico haven't got time for that.

Leon would you please just reply to Legend Killer, it's bad enough he has destroyed you over this Pogba thing without you ignoring him like a little kid with a tantrum

BBfanUSA

Why on Earth are we playing in Canada

Because they made a bid for the Women's world cup. the other other country was Zimbabwe. A Bunch of European countries and Japan are making bids for 2019.

Oh wait, Why is Brasil having a friendly against Chile in Toronto? I was kinda lost for a second

Chuck
20-11-2013, 01:09 AM
lol

Chuck
20-11-2013, 01:09 AM
CBF is so bloody corrupt, we almost never have a friendly in Brazil.

Chuck
20-11-2013, 01:10 AM
Vargas will probably play with Santos next year and Sampaoli is the coolest coach ever.

BBfanUSA
20-11-2013, 01:13 AM
They had a friendly in the US against Honduras but it was in Miami where there's a huge Latino population recently. So that actually made some sense.

No country has won the Confederations and World cup in the same cycle right? I don't think Brasil will win the World Cup then.

Shaun
20-11-2013, 03:57 AM
I'd like someone relatively new (ie. not Spain or Brazil)... Argentina would be nice. I can't see it being a European team, really.

Novo
20-11-2013, 04:01 AM
Congratulations Shaun you are officially the first English person to want Argentina to win the World Cup

Surprise team to make the semis will be Japan

BBfanUSA

Dark Horses: Iran, Ghana
Dissapointments: Spain, Portugal, Brasil (They will crack under the pressure)

Drew.
20-11-2013, 04:15 AM
I have been a fan since they banged in them two free kicks in a game in the 2010 WC

Okay, because in NCAA basketball, in the big tournament (That's kinda like a Champions League) in the last two years a Random small team has made it pretty far into the tournament

That's why I chose Iran. Small random country that goes far.

Forgive me I'm American. :joker:

Fat Ronaldo is back from retirement! he's destroying Germany!!! it's 2002 all over again!!!!!

Drew.
20-11-2013, 04:32 AM
And it's Germany's year as captain Lukas Podolski lifts the World Cup with his Arsenal team mates Per Mertesacker and Mesut Ozil by his side

Brother Leon
20-11-2013, 09:41 AM
They better hope Jones isn't fit then. Ozil will ask to be subbed when he sees his name on the sheet.

Jemal

Portugal to win, their counter attacking style will destroy anyone.
They showed that in euro 2012 aswell.
Veloso - Mereiles - Moutinho
Nani - Ronaldo - Postiga/Almedia

lol yeh I saw it on twitter like 2 seconds before logging on here

Novo
20-11-2013, 04:28 PM
suppose it's not that bad when you look at that team, there was always going to be a couple of class players that were not going to make it, especially Bale.

Sweden's Record in the last 2 World Cup Qualifying campaigns combined is Won 11, Drew 5 and Lost 5 with +12 Goal Difference and they have failed to qualify for either, mainly because of Portugal both times.. at least they have moved on from destroying us

Drew.

Interesting. Anything to stop pointless friendlies tbh.

Novo
26-03-2014, 12:26 AM
Be better if they just did teams with players from Europe, South America, North America, Asia, and Africa that play each other throughout the season, bit like the NBA all star games but continents instead, Less games, better quality matches, bigger names in each match, and it would be a money making machine

Novo
26-03-2014, 12:29 AM
Plus you get to see players play with other players that in club and international level is impossible, Saurez and Messi for South America

the world cup i'd have thought. I think a few non-world cup teams had friendlies still.

Delph and Chambers will probably get about 20 minutes each and won't feature vs Switzerland regardless

King Gizzard
