888 is the luckiest combination of numbers in Chinese numerology. It has been regarded as a symbol of fortune and prosperity for thousands of years.

That's why Dexter chose £88,800.

Is Dexter Chinese?
I thought he was at the start, but then his mum came on and she had the same eyes as him but was a look more english looking so i figured its just ones of those english families that has a oriental look but isnt really oriental.

888 is a lucky number in Chinese, 4 means death in Asian countries and they try to avoid number 4's.
