Why was Sam and The Twins so mad at Dexter yesterday?

If Sam is true to his word he's not interested in the money as he's "doing this to raise awareness for deaf children" ...and The Twins are "there for a good time and to have fun"...so even if Dexter did try and take the money and run why would they be so p*ssed at him?

BTW, in Dexter's culture the number 8, or multiples of the number 8 is thought of as lucky, that's why Dexter chose the total he did...that answers why he chose that total.

The whole episode was to ensure that Dexter got to the final. Dexter is a gambler the others are not.
He gambled on the outcome going either way and he would have won whatever happened.
He could have walked away with £88880 which is not that much less than £100K.
Probably BB changed the rules when they saw what the housemates had chosen.
