If the bookies were seriously betting for him to be evicted, they would be changing his win odds and they haven't. He is safe. Its the mug punters lumping on Sam to win money that I feel sorry for.

The odds are all over the place. It will be very interesting to see the odds if Sam is evicted.

I think Nikki was fave to win when she was evicted

Its vote to evict. Positive votes depend on how popular you are/how many like you (hence him being fave to win) but negative votes depend on how many people dislike you..the amount of fans you have doesnt come into it really, especially in a 4 way eviction. If it was head to head, Sam fans could target the other easily..at the moment, their votes are split. The others havent done anything to be disliked for. Sam has argued very recently. Hence being fave to go

Thats my theory anyway.

His odds are shortening. That's the worrying thing for Sam supporters.

The bookies take account of how much punters are putting on Sam. Those same punters aren't going to be voting for the Twins, Charlie or Sophie are they? ;)

They will likely vote multiple times for Sam to be evicted to ensure their bet pays off. It is not like horse race when you can't influence the outcome.

Didn't one woman (last but one CBB I seem to recall) vote 1000 times? This may seem to be very excessive - it would cost £350. But if you have a large bet riding on it, it is part of your gamble.

Science beat Maxwell in BB6 when Maxwell was favorite with the bookies to win to.

yeah the theory totally makes sense, although I think on the actually eve of the final Sam's vote to win odds would drop a bit if they seriously thought he could go? Logically?

 really haven't a clue, it is going to be a nail biter of an eviction. :(

I think that would depends on if people start betting on the others to win? The bookies books must balance, so that they cant lose. People would be a bit daft to put money on someone winning right now, as it all depends on tonights eviction IMO.

This has got to be the closest eviction to call. In a very long time.

Ah yeah that would be right actually :blush2:

She was second fave then. She was definitely high up as I remember people being shocked that she went..even though it was obvious why she went

I agree. I am half resigned to Sam going but there is still some hope. He has been the focus of the most recent highlights, yet there are little niggles with all four candidates.

Twins (well one of them) has been moaning to go home, which is a slap in the face to people who like them and have helped get them this far.

Sophie has been mentioned quite a bit for having a bitchy side.

And then there is Charlie, who also drives people mad for her dithering and lack of backbone/changeability.

And Dexter who escaped, would almost certainly have been a big contender to go, would have been between him and Sam almost certainly. Him not being in the mix anymore means more potential votes for all the others. I have no gut feeling for who will go.

I'll be shouting at the telly later.... :joker:

I definitely agree with this. I am extremely glad Dexter is not up anymore for this reason, I always thought he would fall at the final hurdle, and he probably would have if he hadnt had such a stroke of luck :o

I do not think Sam is going tonight. Unless he has another bad show.

The win lines should have been opened this week, and the one with the least evicted tonight. I know people thought I was only saying this to save Dexter, but I still think this now. Its unfair to have a negative vote to close to the final I think.

with the final on Monday, yes that would have been fair, to both the housemates themselves and each ones set of fans who have invested time and/or money in supporting their chosen fave to get this far. It is awful for any of them to have it snatched away at the last minute. I will feel for whoever goes home tonight in that respect.
