After speaking to my bookies odds compiler (something anyone can do BTW) He assures me that the odds stipulated by them regarding Sam is not a direct result of any massive betting ploys, in fact he said this is the worst week for bets laid in the whole series. When asked why they have dropped his odds, he said that the adverse publicity coming out on Sam is worrying them so they all followed suit and made 3 of them around the same odds.

They are also very worried to lengthen the win odds on Sam till they see whats going on tonight because if he is nominated as the first safe, his win odds will shorten anyway. One thing he did say was that Gina has absolutely no support from gamblers, in fact more money has been laid on the twins than her to win so it just shows that the bookies are worried about the old cherry we all hate, the selective edits. So there you have it.

If you have an online account, call and ask them.

I never bet. It's against my morality! :p:D

Too close to call.... which will make for an interesting evening anyway, unlike the boring and inevitable Hazel eviction. :)

The thing about latest bets placed is fake too then? Since Sam had a TINY slice yesterday before his odds dropped, and now has around a third?

I doubt you will ever find a bookie to admit how much he has taken anything. He will tell you if he hasn't laid bets but not the other way round. Hence the claims that Sam has been backed a lot is probably not right. Please remember that bookies odds are only a guideline based on form, whispers and publicity. I think these falling on Sam are a direct result of bad edits and the publicity seeking landlord and the daily liar.

Whoever you support, the bookies are in it to make money, as are those who benefit from the vote lines.

As we all get worked up about who may go and how many votes could just help our favourites to win or stay in, just remember that it's coming out of your pocket and ultimately after this game show has finished, there will still be bills to pay. Sorry to bring a touch of reality to things but some things matter more than TV.

It doesn't make a blind bit of difference how much money is laid on sam, ITS THE VOTES THAT EVICT HIM not the bookies bets. Why cant people seem to understand that. Maybe some idiot has bet him to go but unless they spend huge amounts to evict him, it wont work. The number of votes needed to sway the decision would be in the thousands for a big outsider to getting evicted. Its nearly impossible for a single person to vote hundreds of times never mind thousands. You would need a dedicated phone room with 20 or 30 people on the phones all day to make that big a difference.

I dont think so. In one eviction there was only 70(I think it was) votes in it? Which kinda says the vote numbers arent very high this year.

What you say about thousands would have definitely bee true in the days of BB7 ish. But not now :S

People that have chucked a few quid on Sam are more likely to pick up the phone to evict him too though.

If the votes follow the bets then Sam will be evicted.

It is not a horse race. There is an opportunity to influence the outcome. You can be sure those betting are also voting... possibly multiple times. In fact those betting may be far more likely to vote numerous times.

Place your bet, then vote - 100 times or more if you wish.:)

lol no! I wish! lol
My brother might get it wrong now and again and he could still be wrong tonight but he says that they had a load of bets after last nights HL and the big majority of money was placed to evict Sam.

Also the reason why Sam is still fave to win is simple, they wait until the eviction is over, expect Sam to drop from fave tomorrow if he stays.
