Is Dexter really an "underdog"?

People keep saying they want Dexter to win because he's the underdog of the show but I really don't think he is. Weeks ago many people would've predicted he could win.

Well...he's no underdog with me Scream!....No matter what position he ends up getting...He's the real winner of this series without a doubt! And I feel chuffed that I have been able to have witnessed the Dexter in action!..he will be with me for the rest of my life....can't say that i'll remember the others beyond the cbb launch! They may have in the early days but the house turning on him was of his own making so no he is not the underdog.

This is a great point. Once they knew Gina was very popular, they started arselicking her. And I believe the very same week, she got NO nominations? Despite having a load everytime she could before that?
