View Full Version : Why aren't more people excited about Charlie in the final?

I know everyone's excited about Dexter and Gina, but I'm really disappointed with the lack of support/enthusiasm for Charlie making the final in such an unexpected turn of events. She truly has been the heart of the narrative all summer long and she's such a unique gem who is anything but the typical HM, quite like Nicky Maxwell. The **** with Dexter is so old, but the way she goes about things is still hilarious, being so paranoid and in a panic 24 hours a day despite being completely monotone and bland, and you would think that would lead to being seen as a sympathetic figure but she's so spectacularly unspectacular that she can't even pull that off, and it's so endearing. And of course, she literally had to be chaperoned by her mother for the first month :joker: homegirl deserves more love around these parts.

I'm delighted she's in the final over Sophie, would've been even more pissed if Charlie went on Friday, atleast she's an interesting entertaining character.

Her inclusion in the final made it 60% rootables, 40% unrootables.

I'm happy because we now have 3/5 deserving finalists, which is probably the best result we've ever had when you think about it. If Sam wasn't going to go on Friday then Sophie was definitely next on my list as she was the other bore, so I was surprised but pleased.

But the reason I can't get excited at all, for this or the final itself, is because of the inevitable and disgustingly laughable result that is about to ensue, that's really tarnishing the end of this series for me and has put it on a bit of a downer, and I feel quite deflated as a result. If Sam had gone, I'd be beyond excited because we'd have a relatively deserving bunch of finalists but with no worry that someone undeserving is going to win. As it is, that's still in the back of my mind and it's kinda ruined it really.

I'm glad she's got her place though, she definitely deserves it. And I do wish that the people who are obsessed with the 'nice' people winning would pick her to support instead of Sam, I mean at least she's actually been a part of the show...

1. She's dull so that's stopped me from championing her on.

2. She's only offered a showmance which I thought everyone hates on Big Brother but there you go.

3. She just has this sour expression on her face everytime I see her.

Oh yeah, I definitely would have preferred Sophie in the final too instead of Sam.

Glad she's in over Sophie and I think she's beautiful... however she's clearly filler at this point and will likely go first tomorrow.

Still, good for her making the final even if she did waffle her way through the game. :joker:

I love Charlie...and would love to see her win...she is complex...but so REAL.

That's not even remotely true?

But Dexter's using her too?

Part of the trouble is, her gameplan was so incredibly good (and helped her survive), people didn't even see it til it was exposed.

Least on here - BB still haven't got a clue !

Not entertaining enough to win perhaps but I think she deserves 3rd more than twins or Sam.
I'll be voting for her early and suggest others do too.

Very possibly, he wanted a showmance for sure.
I'll be voting Dex but people get very defensive pretending their fave is squeaky clean all the time.

Because shes an emotional leech and a user.

Exactly this. And the fact that I'm bored with all the hype about her having had a 'tough time' before entering the house. Her and millions of others - doesn't make her special. She bores me senseless with her wishy-washy, monotonous drone, and I'm done with hearing the same, tired conversations between her and Dexter.
