As we all know Sam is from Wales and I do know he had a massive following of Welsh fans. I find it hard to believe that every single Welsh person would have liked Sam as we all like different types of people so my question is, do you think you should remain loyal to your fellow countryman and back him/her even if you don't particularly like the personality of the contestant? I remember a few years back we had a Yorkshire lad who lived less than 3 miles from me and I was made to feel bad because I didn't support him, I found his personality horrible so didn't want to support him but was I wrong, would you support your local contestant?

if I liked them yes, and found them a good decent housemate, I wouldn't just support them because they were local. You weren't wrong tozzie.

Supporting someone entirely due to where they live is the stupidest thing ever

There have been a few Manc housemates and most of them I have disliked.. Arron being one... Louise was also coma inducing.

So no I wouldn't support them just based on the fact they live in my area.. although I did support this local couple from Stockport on Coach Trip and they went first. Sad times.

I live a short drive from his area. Where he's from had absolutely no bearing on why I wanted him to win, at all. If it did I would have wanted him out from the start, cos apart from Cardiff, Llanelli is a place someone from where i'm from 'doesn't get on with'. Not all Welsh people like each other just because they're Welsh. I was in Llanelli on a night out about ten years ago, I approached a parked Taxi and he said 'where you going mate?' I replied 'Swansea'. He wound the window up and drove off.:joker:

No, I don't feel the need to support someone just because they live in the same area as me.

:amazed: Kazanne and I won the TIBB version, we saw off some horrible couples

Yeah I wish they would bring it back too, couldn't get into Brendans new programme it was a bit rubbish.

Oh and no I can't understand regional bias.

There was a contestant on that i went to school with,I did'nt support them,Because they were abit of a dickhead.Funny to watch though!I think it's different for a small country like Wales,There's usually only one person in from there so they tend to get behind them. Not like England where there are loads of contestants from.

If someone lived fairly near me I guess I would have it in my mind that they are my favourite from when they go in and I don't usually change my faves a lot so I'm not sure...maybe

I'd be more incline to like someone if they were from Wales, but if they're a complete bellend (e.g. Dave from BB11) then no, of course it no longer plays a role in my preferences.

Nope, Callum is pretty near me but I wouldn't find that a reason to support him for example

No.

If somebody was really local, I would be hoping they did not show our area up, but beyond that I could not care less.

I'd rather support people I like than someone who happens to live near me.

The local ones to me are Wolfy, Sallie and Sam. :amazed:
And Adele BB3 is the only housemate from my town.

Dont think I liked any housemates from here. Liam was ok from what I saw but he was a bit boring, has been better outside of the house. Disliked Jay, Alex (but I knew she was faking her 'bubbly' personality as she was my sister friend), Anthony, Jennifer, Charlie (but again, I kinda knew him). Quite liked Johnny from bb3 though.

But generally, the 'geordies' they pick are ****ing dickheads :bored:

I wouldn't support someone just because they came from the same area as me, not that anyone from Portsmouth has ever been on BB anyway lol...

But there are plenty of people that do, in particular I always find that Irish BB fans will always support an Irish housemate, no matter how vile they are (such as Connor/Hazel) this is most evident on Facebook, not on here though...
