View Full Version : 'Test the Nation' tonight!
Stars line up for general knowledge test
Mark Owen and Jo Brand are among 10 guests who've agreed to take part in a general knowledge test being broadcast live on TV.
Other celebrities lined up for Test The Nation include EastEnders stars Charlie Brooks and Gary Beadle and Jennie Bond.
The quiz will also see hairdressers and secretaries pitting their wits against rugby players and cab drivers.
Also on the guest list are javelin champion Steve Backley, war correspondent Jeremy Bowen, Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, Crimewatch presenter Fiona Bruce and Casualty star Kwame Kwei Armah.
Millions of viewers at home will be able to join in by completing the set of 70 questions through digital TV or by logging on to the BBC website.
The test will cover a range of topics from major news events to highlights from the world of sport and entertainment in 2002.
It is being broadcast live on BBC1 from 8.30pm tonight.

Hi S & K, welcome to TiBB :cat:
You can have any picture that you want as an avatar. If you let me know what you would like I can arrange it for you. If there is a pic on the web let me know the url, or give me some idea of what you would like and I'll see what I can find for you - I have loads and loads of all BB housemates, incuding Spencer & Kate.

i done it by the little red button:dance:
God knows how, but I managed to get 86%.
I'm obviously good at accurately guessing. :spin2:
Still, as I have just said to Mark, it isn't an IQ test, you just need to know what has happened this year. It doesn't mean you are intelligent if you do well, it just means you don't have a life and you spend all of your time in front of the TV.

Well that's good then because I only got 77%
I took the test on the Internet and they give you the scores for each section. Mine were
News 87%
Peoplenews 80%
Entertainment 80%
Sport 73%
General Knowledge 60%
They should have asked some questions about Big Brother and Fame Academy.

If it's still available on the internet, I may try it in a few days.
There again, I may not. I am still traumatised by the IQ thing they did (was that a year ago?).
It was wildly inaccurate, had to be!!!!!!
Or perhaps my keen intellect was just too subtle for it................

I did it on a piece of paper rather than on the web. I got 55 out of 70 (don't know what that translates to in percentage terms). I obviously need to get out more!!
PS: Nice to see the lovely Mark Owen again.

I got 67%, Im ok with that, coz its not too bad, but its not so good that it looks like I have no life either!
Well thats what Im gonna tell myself anyway! Lol!
I got 71% :spin2:
Not too bad, considering I haven't bought or read a single newspaper all year!

I did the quiz online this morning and got 81% - was a bit benused to find that it was only 2002 stuff (soaps etc). Is that a sign of intelligence?

It wasn't meant to be an IQ test blinkinlovely, it was just a review of the year, testing your knowledge of what has happened in 2002.

Sorry if everyone is fed up with this, but am catching up.
Well not wishing to show off, but I got 86% (though must admit there were a lot of guesses amongst them) - still I beat OH = who said it is because I know a lot about nothing and a little about a lot whatever that means.:spin::spin::spin2::spin2:
I got 125 on the IQ test last year, so somewhere hidden very deep in my head there is a brain well perhaps, maybe :hugesmile:
