OMG! I met Luke yesterday! :amazed::amazed::amazed:

Me and three other fans were refused entry at GAY. They said it was members and regulars only.
My friend Alyiah managed to get in and took pictures and videos.
Me and the other fans met Luke when he came out of Heaven, at around 4;30. It was amazing! He stopped to chat and take pictures for ages.
And he hugged me twice! :amazed::lovedup:

My niece went to see him the other night, and she got to speak with him afterwards. Apparently he's covering "something inside so strong"for his album.

He's going out to Africa to practice singing in an accent for it. Could be good as it's a good song.

Summary : A strong performance from the X Factor star and the packed out London crowd lapped up every second of it.
G-A-Y in London continues to go from strength to strength with the past year seeing the release of a successful compilation album and an array of performances from huge artists including Idina Menzel, Leona Lewis, Ellie Goulding and Lady Gaga.
Last Saturday we were invited along to Luke Friend’s début performance at the venue and were eager to see how his credible acoustic sound would go down with the crowd who are more accustomed to pop divas and bouncing boybands.
Kicking off his set with 'I Will Wait' by Mumford & Sons, Luke instantly had the audience in the palm of his hand as they cheered and sang their way through the track, which was surely getting its first ever play in G-A-Y.
Luke’s audience interaction was on point throughout, showing enough of his cheeky personality to connect with the audience but the music and his voice always remained at the forefront of his performance. Screams multiplied when Teignmouth’s most famous resident announced his love for Katy Perry before diving into a mash-up of her 'Teenage Dream' and John Newman's monster smash of 2013, 'Love Me Again'.
One of the most memorable moments of X Factor 2013 was Luke's performance of Snow Patrol's 'Run' when singing for survival and it was a great showcase of Luke's strong, raspy vocals, and when he performed it at G-A-Y he fortunately didn't drop his guitar this time.
Luke's fans, otherwise known as the ‘Friendies’ had queued for hours to get to the front and it was when one Friendie shouted for Luke to perform a track from his latest EP, Live Ont' Sofa, that he made the risky move of straying from the setlist and performing the fan favourite, a cover of 'Sex' by The 1975, a band who we're 500% sure have never ever been played in any gay bar in the UK before.
Luke closed the set by recreating another of his strongest X Factor performances, this time in the shape of One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful', which had everyone in the venue singing along.
Overall, a solid performance from one of the most genuinely credible acts to ever come from X Factor and things will only improve once he's in bigger venues with a longer set. On TV shows it can be hard to be sure of someone's talent, so it's in live performances where someone's career sinks or swims and Luke needn't worry.

X Factor 2013: Luke Friend confirms he HAS been talking to record labels & life has been CRAZY since The X Factor ended

I recently caught up with Luke Friend to see what he has been up to since The X Factor came to an end last month, and it seems he has been really busy.

Whilst on the phone with Luke, he even got mobbed by a load of fans, so that tells you how much his fans love him. However, he has dismissed the rumour that he’s not been offered any sort of record deal…

It had been reported in the press last month that some of the finalists have been offered record labels with different divisons of Sony Music, but one particular newspaper said that Luke Friend had been snubbed and nobody was as eager to sign him up.
However, when I spoke to Luke this week, he did confirm that those reports are the furthest they can be from the truth.

He said: “The only time that it has really been quiet was when everyone was off and that was just natural. Over the new year, nobody really does anything. I think with me, there’s the record labels within Sony Music talking to each other. Everything is up in the air with the record labels at the moment as they’re talking and deciding who I should go with”.

Life following on from The X Factor has still be as hectic according to Luke, and he even got mobbed by a group of fans whilst I was speaking to him on the phone.

He explained: “Well, it feels like it hasn’t even ended yet because of the tour and everything, but yeah, everything has been a little bit crazy. I’ve been doing gigs and everything and it’s absolutely mental sometimes. I’m just amazed with all the support I’ve had and I just can’t believe that after the show, life is still crazy.

“There’s been loads of stuff going on like talking to different record people and management. Everything, because it’s so early in the year, is still up in the air. But there’s been stuff in the papers with people saying that nobody is going to give me a record deal, which is strange, but it isn’t true”.

So, there you have it, straight from the horses mouth. As we know more about record labels and that side of things regarding Luke, we’ll certainly let you all know.
