Basically yeah, but its more personally which they think people love. I no doubt see people crying a lot next season and sad soundtracks every other episodes where we are suppose to feel emotions for Mel seeing her daughter Carrie lose :sleep:

Woo messed that up big time; but Kass could have made an amazing speech to convince the Jury

Kass winning that immunity out of nowhere and then almost winning the last:love: If only. Woo being so innocent(idk if that's the word I want to use, but I did so...) poor guy looked so defeated. Morgan's lucky she's cute and fun to listen to, cause her face can be serious levels of Danielle Murphree from time to time. Trish's speech, holy emotion. And it gave us the whole, "damning my father's soul was totes worth the million" moment. Why dafunk was Spencer yelling though? I wanna know.

Such an amazing season overall, but the ending kind of let it down a bit. I was fine with Tony winning, but Woo making such a mistake and taking him, just soured the winner for me. If Tony had taken himself or if both Kass and Tony were these crazy jury threats like the Exile Island F3 and Woo had to pick who to lose to, I'd have liked it much more, but that was kind of way to WTF for me.

Also that final immunity was gorgeous, wow.

Undoubtedly, out of the two people at the end Tony technically deserved to win, hands down, but at the end of the day knowing that such an utterly repugnant creature as Tony is a million dollars richer i can't help but somewhat resent a show that, by it's rules and nature and because of what people increasingly enjoy watching, rewards people for being the kind of people you (or 'I' certainly) wouldn't even want your least favorite relative to have to have as a next-door neighbor, let alone be paid a million bucks for being vile!

As much as i used to enjoy the show in the past (when people did manage to win the show, be really entertaining, and still manage to keep at least a degree of their integrity intact throughout the game!) i find it less enjoyable every season because of how it's encouraged to be played by the producers, essentially because that's what the majority of the viewers enjoy watching.

I know i'm very probably the only person here who feels this way but i just can't switch off that thing inside me (i think it used to be called 'humanity') that finds it very difficult to see scumbags given that much money for doing pretty much nothing when so many people in the World suffer and die every day due to poverty!:shrug:

Quite an anti-climatic finale tbh.

It was still exciting to watch, but Woo ruined it by bringing Tony to f2. It became so predictable after that. I knew from the moment they showed Woo and Kass' conversation that he was going to win immunity and take Tony. And he deserved to lose for making that move, it annoyed me how he thought he could play the honest and integral card, oh and btw, Survivor is not Taekwondo Woo...such a likeable yet stupid idiot.

I was rooting for Spencer and Kass when the episode began, so having Woo and Tony as the final 2 was quite disappointing. I was surprised with how the jury treated Tony, I honestly thought there was a slight chance that Woo could win. Watching the jury annihilate Kass would've been even better.

Quite a good season overall, the first I've actually got through entirely. I'm looking forward to the next season.

I'm mainly going by the edit. Trish hardly gets airtime, everyone hates Kass and I don't think the jury would respect Woo's game. On the reward trip Kass said that was the first time she really heard anything from Woo. I think Spencer would beat him, but he would have to win out. If he loses a challenge they would be fools not to get rid of him.

Anything could happen I guess. Natalie White did win Survivor.

Not bad. Flip Kass with Trish and it was pretty spot on. Made my prediction thinking it was a final 3 though.

I actually liked this season even though I don't like Survivor as much as Big Brother and The Amazing Race. And even though I pretty much hated most of the cast I still liked the season as a whole. Woo should have argued that Tony was his shield and emphasized that he won individual immunities and wasn't basically given secret idols. Still a dumb move taking Tony over Kass regardless though. Like Tony said he would vote for Woo and Kass said she wouldn't yet he still votes her out. What an idiot.

So because the self-important egomaniac Spencer said that Russell would've won with this jury, that means it's true? :joker: the fact that you're trying to shove this in my face as "proof" is laughable (all this really proves is that Spencer is as daft as you are and that's been obvious for a long time.) You can't pick up Russell and place him into a different season and say "well these people would've voted for him so ha!" Survivor and life just don't work like that. You keep acting like how a jury perceives the final two all comes down to luck. The jury doesn't exist coming into the game, it's created over time as a result of other people's actions and they can react however they please. Russell losing is nobody's fault other than his own and the fact that Samoa aired in 2009 and you're still lamenting over his loss is really sad :(

Mhm, Spencer's awfulness really doesn't get stated enough around these parts. Like, he got way too much screen time despite being bland, toneless, charmless, and lacking any sort of charisma whatsoever. Nothing about him is interesting and he didn't do anything of note out there. He thinks he's smarter than everyone and preaches like he's some authority within the context of Survivor despite the fact that he was on the bottom the whole season because he failed to convince anyone of anything. He failed to convince Kass that she was anything other than third in their alliance with Garrett, he almost got voted off instead of J'Tia, and he only survived at the mercy of others. He called Kass a brain dead weasel after she gave him a significant lead in a puzzle and still beat him, which is a hilariously stupid assertion.

Also even though he's some self-professed super fan he was miserable out there? Like, his final words were pretty much that he's been dreaming of being on Survivor his whole life and he made it so far and it was pretty much an awful experience like http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/alien.gif. Like, Spencer's boring and fun-sucking and he delivered nothing but got so much in return for it. Will keep that in mind. I'll watch San Juan del Sur and also season 30 as I've heard both are just newbies so that gives me a lot of time to watch previous seasons! I have the urge to just start at season 1 and work my way up, although it'll take me a long time considering there's 27 seasons.

5 and a half years ago I participated in a game show. It aired 5 years ago. I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into. It looked pretty simple when I watched it myself. Having a strong athletic background I knew I could win. What I don’t account for is the emotional and social part of it. I thought that was going to be a breeze because I genuinely get along with people.
You learn a lot about yourself. How experience discomfort and adversity.
I lost it. Far from home, away from my family, my real friends, and the power and control that I assumed i had was gone.
I had a cup of crunchy burnt rice for 2 weeks. Total. About 45 minutes of sleep while cold and wet a night. The sounds of the animals in jungle haunted me in the dark. Things crawling. I stepped on a hole with a spitting cobra and the camera crew looking at me and quietly telling me to run as fast as I could. Six toe nails falling off from the constant moisture from the jungles weather. Having to agree with a decision you know is the poorest choice because you don’t want to make waves. My team was winning, we had all the food. We decided as a group to save it. I was floored. I knew there would be a merge soon because our other teams were down to nothing. I explained we needed to eat more. We were all starving and soon we would be split up and some of us would have to leave our rice bag to a team that had already used or dumped their bags. My team didn’t agree. I had to go with group vote and smile and say, “ok: maybe you’re right”
The only water we could drink had to be sterilized. Which means, walking a half mile with a dirty bucket, going to a well, carrying it back, starting a fire without a lighter or tools from scratch, putting it into a filthy cast iron pot that weight about 20-30 pounds and boiling it. And sharing it amongst 6-7 other people. Everyone had their own canteen. What I didn’t know is that when I hung mine up on the tree someone “we all know” was dumping sand into mine. After all that work, I would be stuck with sanding choking me as I tried to keep my body strong enough for the next game. I was furious and I knew. But I kept my mouth shut. Burns started to appear on my skin. I didn’t know what was going on. Giant sores. I figured it was from my clothes being so wet. It wasn’t until later I found out that someone was urinating on my clothing when I hung it to dry. I figured since I had cleaned myself properly for weeks, my clothes just smelled due to mildew. No. I found out why. On the 22 hour flight over the cabin pressure in one of our cross over planes blew my eardrum. The crew had to pack silly putty in my ear so you couldn’t see the blood coming out of my ear. I had ruptured my ear drum. On the introduction shots of us entering the game on the big truck I had actually fallen off and bed and broke my toe. Apparently your balance is effected by your ears. It throws your equilibrium off. During the puzzle challenge it was about 120 degrees and felt like 140. I had fainted and landed in the sand face first. The med team came over and check my blood pressure. 60/30 was my count. I continued on.
I didn’t want to make a fool of myself or be a quitter. I had came too far and I knew it would be publicized all across the nation.
One night it was too much. We were told not to look or speak to each other off camera. It took one toothy smile in the van and a whisper, which I will not repeat from a person that sent me over the edge. The argument lasted about 2 hours and was clipped about 15 seconds on national television.
I had lost my temper. I could see red and nothing else. For many of you who do not know, at the time It took years of being in court to get my daughter to live with me full time. I couldn’t afford an attorney and it screwed me for years. There was a lot of work that went into it. I thought, a million dollars could pay for her college and change our lives. What I didn’t account for, was that at the time, I was angry from what I felt was an injustice in that situation. My temper has always been an issue for me. Through time and experience, it’s something I am getting better at. Control is my nemesis. I need it, I crave it.
So when people stop and she me if it’s fun or real. Yes. If I act like I don’t want to talk about it, I’m sorry. Editing will give anyone a poor or excellent representation. You see what they want you to see. I thought I would share this story today.
People like to call out quitter. You have no idea the things I have overcome in my life. If you know me in my personal life, I work my ass off, I’m a great mother, and great wife. I live life to the fullest. I slipped in front of a lot of people. I’m still insecure about it. If I could take it back and calm my tits. I would. But, it’s life, it happens. And I’m still here. A game show is not going to tell me whether I’m a bad bitch. I am.
